IMO, Reagor will be the casualty if KA is signed. Last year they started the season with 7, but at the end of the season they only had 5 on the roster. I don't see them carrying 7 to start this season, unless they really value Reagor's special teams play.
Earlier today I couldn't recall how many they carried, and was very surprised when I found the article listing the roster after the cut-down to 53 to see it was seven, esp. considering the names. Chargers use a lot of heavy personnel, so it was weird that they started the year w/more WR than average.
I think Reagor might be the odd man out if they sign Allen and keep him on the 53.roster. Part of Jalen value was as back up returner to Davis, but Hines was added and can do that too. So that took away some of the value Reagor brought to team. And cutting Jalen is only 300k dead cap with 700k saved so the money isn't any big deal .
Keenan makes the 2025 team better. Period. And he can teach the young guys. And Herbert loves him. The question is do we lose a high potential Wr for the future due to Keenan making us better for one year.
It just feels to me like for the Chargers, this is a one year, $6M deal. Keenan may not want to accept that.
This may be more about the Chargers’ comfort with the current crop of X receivers than anything else.
2 years…. $14m/year (bargain for his production)
2 year SB window (w/Keenan…. we will get another post Keenan)

DP probably forgot he's in CA, and not Texas anymore.
I'm almost positive this is much ado about nothing.
he was on his way to a GUN RANGE.
that's the first clue.
The Perryman issue can go many different directions. Yes, he was headed to a gun range. But, Cali frowns on automatic weapons. We're the guns registered? Could a DA use DP as a opportunity for political cache. Does the NFL step in? He could be suspended for window dressing.
TBH, I had the game on Thursday. But was unable to watch intently. But when I did watch plays here and there, noticed two guys that jumped out #50-Murphy and #57-Morris-Brash. Flying to the ball and always in the mix. Yes, PS game #1. But the little I watched, these two stuck out. Both LBs. Good to see, especially with the Perryman situation.
Honestly, I haven't isolated on him. I noticed that the result with him at C was a TD and a FG, no sacks.
Likely going against a backup as well. He was only playing to get reps at OC. If we had a competent OC, he isnt playing that game. Really want to see James start next week.
Any word on Keenan? You know Ladd had to play with some injuries because our WRs corps wasnt good last year. With Kenan we can afford to rotate them or when Ladd is dinged, we have a very good slot to insert. Ladd isnt a big guy and surprised he played as many games as a rookie with the workload he had.
I'd love to see KA finish as a Charger. We don't need him to be a primary target or play as many snaps as he did before but I've said over and over he has a Charlie Joiner game and can play into his mid 30's
