Chargers defensive tackle Teair Tart has been fined by the NFL for slapping Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce in their Week 1 game, a source told ESPN.

Andy is confused about a rule.
meanwhile, I'm confused about the rule about showing up on time to start the second half. Is there a rule? Or can any team just show up whenever they want, consequence-free?
maybe we should start showing up 3 hours late to 10am games if there's no rules being inforced..
          RIP CK

Reid seemed a little bit punchy himself from this response:

"I don't understand that rule," Reid said Monday. "I guess it's open-hand, fist, whatever, I don't know. I don't know what their decision was on that. But he definitely got hit in the head pretty hard, whether it was an open fist or a closed fist."

that's great news, I was surprised that they hadn't put him on IR sometime during the week, I figured that maybe they wanted to wait till the last minute to give him an additional week on IR to recover before they were forced to re-activate him, but his he's closer to coming back then the need to be put on IR goes away...I never saw how he got hurt in the game...

                  iirc just a few minutes.
I just want to know where the line is.

To be honest, I think the reason that Tart wasn't thrown out of the game is that the refs understood Kelce had hit him first.

What's interesting is that they kept showing the close-up replay of Tart pushing his open hand onto Kelce's helmet, but did NOT show what Kelce did to him beforehand...hmm...

Whistle blown. Kelce pushes Tart after said whistle blown. Tart face slaps Kelce's facemask in retaliation and gets a flag.

Will Smith: Don't start none wont be none.

                        Also Will Smith: Slaaapppp!!!
