Yep. Keep building that pipeline of OL.Now, if you excuse me, I have some Charger memories to suppress.
Let’s win one for Mack.

What are you suggesting? Even if we wants to stay and takes less, can we rely on him? Id like to say yes....but idkOriginally posted by Velo View PostWatch just a minute of this vid. Then ask yourself, "Do I want to see Mike Williams making these plays against the Chargers in a Chiefs or Raiders uniform?" Because if they release Mike, he could end up on either of these teams, MW has made enough plays against these opponents, especially the Chiefs. The Chiefs are going to make WR a top priority this off-season, with an emphasis on WRs who don't make drops. Do you want to see Mahomes to Mike in 2024?

Exactly what I just talked about in my post above. Charger fans want to bring every veteran back, cant bear to lose any, but expect different results, expect winning.Originally posted by Velo View PostWatch just a minute of this vid. I like Mike, but it is painfully obvious he is one of the most obvious and necessary cuts for a team in one of the worst cap situations in the NFL.
I would also say, if you can remove the homer glasses, Williams is not as good as he is talked about by Charger fans. Actual facts and results say otherwise. He was drafted 7th overall .He is not a #1 WR and has only two 1000 yard seasons in a 7 year career. Is that good enough for a 7th pick? Ask yourself that objectively. Ask yourself if his results on the field are worth 20 million a year. And yes the fact that he can never stay on the field factors into his value.

Yeah but think a 1 year prove it deal with incentives wouldn't break the bank for him. I still think they will draft a DT but would be nice to have another vet especially if they let Fox go.Originally posted by Boltjolt View Post

2) Re-sign Tart, Hand (4m), Phillips (5m)
3) Sign the ERFA's Williams, Patterson, and Vidal (3m).
4) Sign free agents Cole Strange (OG-1.5 m), Whyatt Teller (OG-10m), Luke Fortner (OC-6.5m), Brunskill (OC-vet min) Leo Chenal (LB-5m), Rashid Shaheed (WR- 14m), Cade Otten (TE-8m) Greg Dulcich (TE-3m), K'Lavon Chaisson (ED 9m), Myers (DT-7.8m), Alec Ingold (FB-6m), Hendrickson (ED-25m), Seumalo (OG-9m), AVT (OG). Can they trade him to an NFC team? If they want to move off of him and just release him, he can sign with anybody. Mike has made so many plays against the Chiefs, and he is so sure-handed. I'd be very upset if he landed with the Chiefs, or the Raiders, or even the Bengals, who are going to need to replace Tee Higgins.Originally posted by Boltjolt View Post

First, to the post above about Mike Williams - you don't keep a player just so he doesn't go to the chiefs or Raiders or whatever team. The Chargers need to make decisions best for their team MW or Ekeler or whomever, has the right to go where they please.Originally posted by CanadianBoltFan View Post

Second, agree with CBF -- the Chargers cannot keep all of these players and expect different results. Williams has had two very good years and a bunch of good years but the injury concern, the cost -- unless he is willing to take a paycut that Kyle D on twitter proposed - maybe. But even that, same as BOsa - if they are not healthy, who cares how big of a cap hit they take -- if they get injured, who are you signing, a dumpster diver special.
Third - the Chargers have decisions to make with the cap. Because its not only about getting under the cap on March 15th or whatever ; its also being able to operate in free agency, signing the draft class, having a 53 player roster, the chargers are going to need a good 30m more unless you just want a bunch of minimu level players and undrafted free agents. Or you push a bunch of cap on Bosa, Mack and Allen and cross your fingers/

Panthers for a 2027 7th. I don't want to see Mike Williams burning Chargers' DBs for the next three seasons. And I don't want Mack sacking Herbert six times in a game. Bosa, I'm not that worried about.Originally posted by Bolt4Knob View Post

Potential cut candidates from all 32 teams. Reminder that picking up a cut FA will not affect our comp picks.
Assuming price is reasonable, from this list: Jonnu Smith (TE), David Andrews (Center), and Khari Blasingame (FB).
