When did the Chargers sign Hieronymus Bosh? His artwork always creeped me out!

Bosa is is not a full time player - at least moving forward, I don't think its his best role,. I also don't think Mack is a three down player anymore. Of the two, I am keeping Mack - but still as a part-time player

Last offseason, it was about MW and Slayer. Moving on from both players was not the wrong move. DJ Chark didn't work out but that doesn't mean it was wrong to move on

I think the Chargers can take that money and improve the roster. Don't need to be taking sentimental journeys on the players.
It’s always about the money. If you can get Bosa and 6 sacks for cheap you take him as a rotational player. I think you’re stuck with the expectation of Bosa as a high end earner and starter. He hasn’t proven he can be that for a while.

Yeah that’s true, I suspect they cut or renegotiate his contract.

No thanks. Every roster spot is precious. I prefer a full time player versus rotational and too often injured one.

But Mack should be a priority to bring back.

Yeah if only you could just stack a team with all full time starters and not have role players. Unfortunately teams are made of players that fill roles and aren’t all full time starters, and the chargers have shown that they like rotating DEs to keep them fresh. Bosa at the right price fits, the chargers have shown what they like to do with the position. He’s not worth his current price but he is productive at times and if he’s willing to take a team friendly rework then it’s very likely to happen.

What the culture means, is that this now becomes a destination for free agents, competitors welcome. That being said, it’s the guys chasing a chance at a ring, this coach with this quarterback increase those chances. Who wants it more?

I think they can do far better from even a “rotational” perspective. He missed 5 games and had 4 games with only 1 tackle.

I have no personal animosity towards him but I think he’s spent. Wasn’t it 3 different injuries this year that caused him to miss games and require limited snap counts when he did play?

Yes, but at what price point is Joey Bosa worth it - with the injury concern. I think maybe $8-10m as a rotational piece. He just isn't the same player he was. So yes if he takes a steep pay cut, I would be open. But he is scheduled to make $25 - is he really going to take a pay cut too under $10m

I think Mack at this point is also rotational - so of the two - the choice is easy, bring back Mack and spend more money on more of an every down player. Dupree is signed for cheap, you have Tuli... so either draft or bring another veteran in.

i think the EDGE unit is weaker than it seems. we were supposed to have "four starters" rotating and be a sack machine. it did not feel that way at all, especially during the second half of the season. i think we might have more turnover in that room than people are expecting (free agents, draft picks, cuts, etc.).

Agree!! It's very exciting and I really do believe this is the worst roster Harbaugh will have on this team. So things really looking up.

And if there is a talented or big name FA that the Chargers don't pursue in the future, perhaps instead of the usual crowd here grinding their teeth and putting on sack cloth, they should consider that maybe, just maybe, those players don't want to do the work that is required on our team now and for that reason would not be successful or welcome. Slacekrs and head cases and selfish players not welcome. Competitors? You bet.

Like, how am I a traitor? Your team are traitors.
