I, sadly, agree about MW and KA. I think you have to keep KA, so Williams is probably going to be a casualty.

I also don't think we're going to have that many good/very good offers for either Mack or Bosa simply because everyone (and his brother) knows that we almost certainly have to move one or both. So a lot of prospective suitors can just sit back and wait to see what we do and then jump in if/when we take action (i.e., cut one or both). Same as with the MW/KA situation, I can't see an scenario where we keep both.

Staley was an idiot . . . . . . . . . . a smart coach see's this situation coming, gets Bosa off the field (without further damage) and intercedes on his behalf with the referee, who's likely to allow more bitching from the HC than a player . . . . . . . . . . It may not have made a difference in the way the game was called, but it would have avoided a very damaging penalty.

If that is how it's being ref by that crew that day. Adjust like a professional. Have your OL do the same thing. Even it out naturally. If I fault the HC, he should have not told ref anything. He should have told his staff and OTs, you can be a bit farther back today. Then keep it moving. What would have helped was Bosa not committing two costly penalties pre and post snap. Amount to 5pts Jax gained in a 1 point loss. Staley actually dialed up the perfect time blitz and Bosa killed the play. Massive momentum be give to Jax. Then did it again with the tantrum. Joey apparently cannot control himself yet want to blame the refs. That is the epitome of No Accountability to the Team. It's all about you Joey.
Telesco eyes fail him and he build poor rosters. Like trading up for Melvin Gordon. I wanted the DL Armstead that day. I wanted what Parcells reference as a global player. Meaning you very hard to find another person built like him on the planet. He didn't quite live up but still productive and a starter on the SB team this year, while Gordon is a shell of self and a fumble waiting to happen. Roster construction is as important as HC development of that years team and the Xs and Os.

Harbaugh knows how to stand up a Team every year.
He also needs more talent to win more games. Joe Hortiz come from an organization that builds the line of scrimmage well and commits to running the ball and playing defense. They won a Superbowl with Falcco and Dilfer, and we all know Herbert is more talented than those QBs. Jim Harbaugh has a QB capable with a great run game, defense and special team to win the Trophy. And he knows it. It is Superbowl or bust every year for Jim and the Bolts. That is the standard. Dominate the day.

I would rather have a 3rd round this year that is guaranteed than wait for maybe getting a 3rd rounder (which doesn't have the highest probability of happening - lower odds than 100%) in 2026. Somebody thought Ekeler was going to get the Chargers a 3rd round comp pick next year when he signs his contract

As for your comment about a 3rd rounder being better or having more value than Mack - you are forgetting you can sign a player with the money you didn't spend on Mack. So its really not just Mack compared to the 3rd rounder it is Mack compared to the draft pick + playuers

With both Keenan and Mack - its not this year - its the future years that I would be leery

Hence I suggested if keeping both, give them their $23m - with voidable years. Pay them in the future, the 2025 season based on how they performed in 2024.

You're being a bit disingenuous - I guarantee Mack, KVN etc were getting mauled every bit as much as Bosa - never heard a peep from them. I bet Pips and Slater were holding Jville's edge rushers all game too. All offensive linemen cheat and get away with it, including ours . Yes - it's horrific officiating, but it's relatively equally horrible for every team. My issue with Bosa in the Jville game was that he felt that he was entitled to make a huge stink (ON THE FIELD) about the same treatment every other defender had gotten throughout the year. He hurt the team's chances of winning with his antics. If he wants to go behind the bench and throw shit around and cuss and scream - be my guest, but players who are mentally tough DON'T lose their shit on the field of play.

Jville's RT was getting an early start ALL YEAR - against every other team. I don't recall a single instance in all of the other games Jacksonville played where the edge rusher lost his mind about this on the field. It's the way the game is officiate these days - the advantage is given to the Olinemen, and Dlinemen know they just have to put up with it - legal or not, EXCEPT Joey of course, who felt that he was entitled to make a scene.

I never ever want to watch a game again where we are watching a Trent Dilfer like player in the Superbowl. Dilfer was a much better color man than an NFL QB.

I have read the Lions need CB and Edge. Edge to play opposite Hutchinson. They have the cap space -- especially with the increase to the cap last Friday
