It's the frustration of having a talent like Herbert and knowing that if we had a great Oline we would be as good as any team in the league! Even Harbaugh said when hired we have to protect Herbert! Losing to an 0-3 team with a first time starting QB and seeing Herbert knocked around like a rag doll two weeks in a row would put any fan in a bad mood.

It put me in a bad mood, but I'm not on the forum being a screaming chicken little fool, neither are you, but some posters on here are.

But...if we can sign a JAG who is slightly better than Boze, that's an upgrade...

Bozeman is not an ideal center, but nobody they're going to acquire at this point will be an upgrade, for the simple reason that Bozeman knows the system and he has familiarity and cohesion with the other OL, which is more important on the OL than any other position group. No JAG coming in cold, even if he is a slight upgrade over Bozeman, is going to be able step in and do it better than Bozeman.

Seeing officials throwing a flag if the C moves his head too quickly and nothing happens when Herbert has thrown the ball and defenders are allowed to play through him pisses me off.

We're #4 pass D, #16 run D in simple yards allowed and #5 points per game allowed. Not too shabby.
The Chargers defense is top 5 PPG not allowed and vs the pass. Rough average run D.
Washington has a very good, top 2 run offense and basically sucks passing.
We need to play our game on D. Get, not give takeaways. Shut down red zone and no penalties.

Assume that anybody they acquire at this point via FA, waivers or late 3rd day draft pick is JAG.

There will be veterans out there that might be better than Bozeman at Center or depth at Edge that maybe are JAGs but also, teams might just want to get "some value" for them

If a team is in free fall mode to a 3-4 win season (Saints, Jets, Titans, maybe the Fish, Bengals without Burrows) and they have veteran free agents, wouldn't it be better to get a 7th in 2026 than nothing at all

The pass defense stat is skewed somewhat in Chargers favor because we faced some low ranking QB’s.

Penning is a possibility - he is a FA after this year so the Saints can determie if he is in their long term plans

JPJ might be a better player than QJ - don't see him going nowhere

But a player like Penning - pending FA - and the like are players to possibly target

Identifying areas that could be improved is fine.

Fans melting down because Hortiz didn't do what they thought should be done and declaring everything is a disaster while the team is the #2 seed in the conference and the QB, offense and defense are top 5 or 10 in the league is daft.

I praised everything Hortiz has done except for the offensive line. I did not say everything is a diaster whatsoever. I referred to being disaster will be if Herbert gets hurt form taking an unacceptable, league record level of hits. I think most Charger fans would agree on that.

I guess others having a different opinion than you and not praising Hortiz and Harbaugh at all times is "meting down"

I guess this isnt a legitinate issue worth pointing out in your world....
