I figured we may keep Gilman is why I didn't mention him. Don't think Guyton gets offered more than 2 mil.

I'm thinking Minshew can start someplace and that's what he would want to sign for.

He would be better than Mac Jones in NE and then they could draft MHJ.
If Tampa don't resign Baker, he could start there.
          Better than Pickett
Denver since they don't have the draft cap to move up and he is better than Stidham
          Maybe Minnesota
And i think he is better than Richardson in Indy but they gonna let Richardson play.

Seriously, you keep wanting cap savings over Mack cuz you say it’ll make the team better. Who you gonna put at EDGE with Mack gone that will make the team better? Cuz if you want Mack results, don’t matter who you pay, it’s gonna be Mack-sized money.

            So seriously, who?

Already answered it - multiple times. And I understand about the money - I am just wanting to pay a player that probably will not decline in a year or two and be left with a bunch of dead cap when the team is ready to win. This is a multiple draft rebuild in my estimation to get to where they need to get too.

So I will give you a name - for the same AAV as Mack, I would take somebodyu like Christian Wilkins. Might lose a little at Edge but gain a better player at IDL. The Chargers have nothing at IDL. The Chargers at least have Tuli for DE.

Thats 6 guys. If we sign three, we get three.

Don't think Stick or anyone else nets us a pick. Maybe Guyton gets 3 m and we get one but doubt it....most we can get is 4 right? Unless we lose a Rooney guy for GM or HC.
I don't think at most 3 of the above names will get a comp pick - nothing higher than a 5th - more than likely in the 6th or 7 round ranges

Mack will get traded... it sounds as if he's the only one generating interest right now.
There won't be a lot of action free agent wise. Hortiz might get a cheap RB or cheap TE. But he likes to build through the draft.

If Mack generates a third rounder via trade, I'd take it. You can probably draft a good DT. That is how Minter will generate a pass rush... stunts and LB blitzes. Our OLB's might look much different from what we're used to. Here is Minter's OLB from last year. He's not getting much buzz because he's seen as too small for an NFL 3-4 OLB. But minter uses his OLB's in coverage a lot.

                  Protect the QB
                  Run the ball
                  Play great defense

Mike Evans signing back with Tampa
                    2 years 52m
                    35 guaranteed

Interesting to see where Allen will come in - based on their careers. Evans has been the more explosive playmaker - less total catches but more TDs and average yard per catch. Evans is a year + younger

                      ???

Where does your top 5 EDGE play come from with that plan? We need IDL, draft/sign IDL. But you just made a huge hole and filled about 10% of it, for near Mack money. Worse, any OC will simply target the edge if Wilkins is playing inside, and vice versa if he’s outside.

It’s like saying we don’t need a top QB if we sign a pretty good RB who can also throw. Both spots are lessened.

if you make this statement - you have no clue about football

and there is no sense in debating it as you are not even open to the possibilities of how to improve a roster- -you are stuck on Khalil Mack and thats fine
and people say I am emotional. I know who the real "emotional" people are

Khalil Mack had a career year last year and how good was the defense
                        Answer: it was shit

So maybe if you improve other areas, that would be IDL, CB, LB (x2) - not just one but they need 2 LBs and maybe Safety - - that they can have a different Edge player and have a better overall defense

I don't think the Chargers are going to trade for him, it wouldn't make any sense. But I don't think the Bengals would have much trouble trading him to another team if they wanted. He averaged just over 1000 yds per season his first three years. He's almost 6-4 and has a huge catch radius. He'd be a good, experienced WR for a young QB. I don't know what he'd bring in a trade though.
