With the 3rd or 4th pick I would like the Chargers to get a backup punt and kick returner for Derius Davis in case of injury. That would be the best crossover WR or CB available with waterbug lateral movement, Tariq Hill straightline speed and great hands.
We need to be prepared for the impact of the Chiefs signing Matt Araiza. He can punt from his end zone and pin opponents in their red zone. He is no joke.

I'm just joking about the Rams. That would be impossible for them to say. Impossible for the Chargers also to give him any assurance. I bet he's doing the same thing if he visits other teams

Should be "pin opponents within their 20 yd line".

"That's the mantra of this place; we're going to be physical," tight end Hayden Hurst said, "we're going to come at you. When you see us pop up on the schedule, it's going to be a long Sunday."

I thought about Zion but eliminated him based on low fat, which he had last year. OL want to keep body weight up. BUT.......

Probably Zion. He's working out with O in one pic. Dude came to OTAs looking serious about this year. Good choice. He embarrassed himself in '23. Needs to learn the new playbook

"Consistency, attention to detail, emotional stability, bigger, faster, stronger, and more mobile and flexible," Herbert said. "That's how you can describe our program."

                  "Harder to Break"

Chargers hired the right head coach and he seems to have surrounded himself with the right staff. In recent years, the offense was very station to station, no big plays, couldn't run the ball, defense was frustrating. The GM really never built a vision for the team and the coaching was suspect

I see the vision for this team. Physical and tough. Now just need the players

Look at your post. On the bottom right there is a "edit" with a pen next to it to ckick on.

How great will it be for Hebert to throw 18/22 250yds 2TD
and then team also has 200yds rushing 3TDs.
And he lines up in victory formation after Chargers bludgeon the opponent into quitting. It's been since LT/Marty days that team forced a quit by running power and the opponent knew the play and still could not stop it. All those Ladainian Tomlinson TD tosses over a defense overcommitted to stop the run. He was like 8/8 or something on those plays. I think we might actually see that play show up again after 2 decades now that old school football coaches are RUNNING the show. Harbaugh/Roman.

Good points. First about an efficient Herbert not having to throw for 400 yards; second the running game and third victory formation. Too many games since Marty seem like they are always close. I get in the NFL play a lot of close games but the Chargers and "Chargering" - I want double digit wins where the QB is taking a knee

I want a running game that is more than 1 yard per carry

I want a defense that gets off the field on third down and doesn't allow the other team to flip field position.

Harbaugh might be a quirky sonuvabuck - but he is the right coach for this team.
