    That would be Norv.
    Norval accepts your apology;

    and he, his wife Nancy, sons Gunnar, Karl and future NFL head coach Scott, daughters Shabitha and Toots,
    all extend a hearty welcome to Charger Nation,
    a franchise that sacked him unjustly,
    encouraged by the animals that support this team.

    Norval bares you no I'll will and is gladdened by your conversion to the QB in charge approach again,
    and away from that weird foray into RB coaches and linebacker coaches who were never even linebackers.

    We only hope that this new head coach, along with Tom Telesco, enjoy half the amount of success this franchise enjoyed when lead by one Mr. Norval Turner.

    Truth is, the Chargers were a dinosaur under Marty Schottenheimer, who could only flourish in hot house environments,
    but not the icy cold and sleet of January.
    Norv took a lot of flack for attempting to modernize that backwards franchise,
    but what magnificent fruits were born of that epoch.

    He realized that he would have never been accepted unless he won multiple Super Bowls here;
    and darn it, what misfortunes befell him!

    A defensive coordinator brought out of moth balls and forced upon him,
    devastating injuries,
    stick in the muds brooding in dark corners,
    reactionary elements sucking the life blood from his teams,
    kickers shanking field goals left and right in key moments.

    Just a little support and luck and this franchise would have hoisted multiple Lombardis,
    and norval would have been feted as a God here!

    Instead, we have the Marty bros, still swinging from his nuts after all these years, determined to cloud this man's tremendous accomplishments.

      I'll agree that Norv did better than our last 3 HC's, but my main point was that LT interview when he said the Bolts had a real shot at going deep into the playoffs with Marty, because the system was already in place...LT said that when the Bolts fired Marty, it set the team back because they had to learn a new play book and other techniques such as the ones you mention...

            20 years too late . . . . . . . . . but better late than never, right?

            Can you imagine what this spring and summer would have been like if ownership had decided to give Staley 'one more year'?? Wrist slitting time . . . . . . .

                One of the rumors that was floating around before the 63-21 loss to the Raiders was that Telesco would be fired, but that Staley would be retained.

                IMO, the J.C. Jackson signing/release was among the biggest 'final straw' reasons Telesco was sent packing. That Jackson was not receptive or responsive to what coaches were saying to him? That character issue didn't just spontaneously materialize when Jackson put on a Charger uniform. If Telesco didn't understand this about Jackson before signing him, that means he failed to do his 'due diligence' research. That's an unforgiveable mistake, considering the wasted cap space, the future cap consequences, and the impact on the team's focus and morale.

                    So...

                    Norv wasn't fit to wash Marty's nuts, or his underwear... Just exactly how close to Marty's nuts was Norv fit to wash anything?!?

                    Like, was Norv fit to wash Marty's knees? His ankles? Trim his toe nails?

                    This just in off my High Speed Sports Wire...... My sources tell me that Norv Turner has been officially deemed fit to give Marty Schottenheimer pedicures! REACTION!

                      I'm not sure if this is the place to put this, but I've been reading some college football previews, and this is a guy who has caught my eye: https://www.on3.com/teams/kentucky-w...ucky-football/

                      A lot of people talk about Michigan's Mason Graham, for good reason, but Walker is a very interesting prospect. At 6-6, 348 pounds, I've read that Walker is a three-down player with tremendous athleticism for his size. We need at least one big man for our interior defensive line, so I'll be looking at defensive tackle prospects this fall.

                        Yep...u gotta do yer due diligence...especially when yer signing FA's to high priced deals...OR when drafting...I think it was a combination of TT's whiffs in mid rounds, FA failures AND the Bolts losing badly...

                          Nice find there, Derwin...so Walker is a pass rushing DT AND a run stuffer...nice...next draft, I think we should try to go DT in round 1 and CB in round 2...if slotting is right...
