It's year one, Roman is working with what he has.
of the big 4 decisions this offseason (Allen, Williams, Mack and Bosa) we were able to retain the 2 defensive guys, just the way it worked out. So credit to Roman in his efforts to develop the O with what he's given.

We don’t have any proven RB talent after JKD and Gus, so why not give Wooden a chance?
He should be a threat to catch out of the backfield too.

Achane was always hurt last season. He was really good when he wasn't and he is still 10 lbs heavier than Wooden.

I also want to say I hope we can find a better #2 QB than Perez. He'd be a good story but I'm not certain he's a bit better than Stick. I'm hopeful we'll land a vet when it comes time to make the cuts to 53. I'm even more hopeful that Herbert never misses a game - that would be ideal.

I'm certain that Luis Perez will play better than Stick every pre season game and end up QB2. The good thing about Perez is he is accurate and will be aggressive. And he will make throws from the pocket that Stick won't and can't make. So as long as they can run and play defense, he can win some games if called upon. Stick ain't winning anything when called upon.
