Does anybody wonder what the Chargers could get for Quentin Johnston right now?

I don’t. Maybe next year if he has another down year. But they’re going to try to salvage him because he’s a first rounder with a lot of physical upside. Plus he’s on a cheap rookie deal for another three years at least.

And that's my point with Bosa... I'm not "accepting" what ever I can get with Bosa. If I'm not getting at least a 3rd rounder... I'm probably re-structuring his contract (to save $7m) and keeping him. No one knows whether he'll be healthy (or not) next year. If he is healthy (and productive) then he'll get more in trade next year (a 2nd rounder...?). The only way his trade value drops is if he stays injured for the next 2 years. His trade value is probably at an all-time low right now.

If you trade/cut him... you only have another need to fill. If (big if) Minter believes he can replace Bosa with a 4th rounder... have at it.

If Bosa takes a pay cut - thats fine. Joey Bosa is not worth $22m unless he is heavily incentivised. You keep mentioning restructuring, that just pushes the pain. Bosa should have to prove it on the field

Maybe Roman and Harbaugh look at his 2023 tape and I don't like what they see, his effort on the field, and decide to part ways with him instead of wasting any more time with him. I don't know. I don't know what he would bring. Maybe include him a package to trade down. I'm just throwing it out there, I don't have any inkling they want to move on from him. I have mixed feelings to be honest. Part of me wants to give him another season to see if he can improve. Part of me looks at his tape from last season and says just cut the cord now.

With respect to Allen, maybe that is why the contract extension hasn't been finalized. The Chargers view him at one price point (I think under Mike Evans) and KA might think he is worth another price point. Maybe not in 2024 but beyond in 2025.

I am not sure its all cap related as really. I think some of it is just building for the next 4-5 years and not 2024. Meaning all four are open to be traded. That tells me they don't want to extend anybody as if they didn - they wouldn't be open for a trade.

I'd prefer Jacobs - IMO he's better. I saw an earlier post indicating that (in the poster's opinion) Jacobs wasn't a good fit for our running game. Would someone more knowledgeable than I care to elaborate on why that might be?

QJ is not going anywhere - in all likelihood.

His cap hit would cost the team money - even a post June 1 trade. Give him another year with better coaching. If after two years -- I think thats a fairer assessment

I feel pretty confident he’ll be a Charger this season solely because of what he did against Harbaugh’s Wolverines in 2022 😅
But all kidding aside, Harbaugh has a history of working on reclamation projects like QJ. It’s also not worth trading him given his relatively low cap hit. You keep these guys unless they’re lockerroom cancers.

A RB with the ability to rush for minimum 1000 yards per season while at the same time score minimum 10 rushing TD's, all while having the ability to take it to the house on any given carry!

A RB that can be effective even when the other team knows you're going to run . . . . . . .
