I don't see the big deal about Tart. To me he's just a guy, like half a dozen guys already on the Chargers' DL depth chart. His size doesn't stand out. His career stats don't stand out. Both Tenn and Miami didn't have any use for him.

Just shows how little confidence Minter has in IDL currently on the roster. The Chargers may bottom 10 worst in the category, maybe bottom 5. Hopefully they can get Mich's Kenneth Grant in the high 20s to low 30s in the '25 draft.

I expect that Minter wants to rotate defensive linemen profusely. So the more the merrier. And diverse skill sets is also a plus.

He likes to create mismatches up front. Think of the monster games Wolverine Dlinemen had in the playoffs.
