I'm sure a lot will be adapted but I guarantee a culture of team and togetherness is created.

Man i still cant believe we got this guy. Harbaugh/Hortiz been a love affair for a while. But Herbert is such an important piece. If staff were football positions...he would be the Center.

This team just needs more toughness. Top to bottom. Has needed it for a while and Herbert feels like he will be the foundation (or as you say the "center") of that movement. Busting into that culture change!

Like Having Trevor Hoffman as your closer. He gets us over the hump so to speak. Of everything. Especially finishing games. Its important that our offense...can move the ball at will and score at will. 2nd half collapses by our offense...constant 3 and outs. That took its toll on the D also. I have been calling us soft for years. These guys should show way more fight now...and fitness.

In the Minter thread, I opened with introducing myself as a Michigan fan.

This development has me gutted for the Wolverines. Coach Herb was just as vital to Michigans success as Jim was. Another outstanding hire for the Bolts and another heartbreaker and step towards mediocrity for my beloved Wolverines.

Herb was the life blood of that roster, a huge recruiter and a dude I would never want to have beef with! Happy for you guys because he’s the best in the business.
