2026 might be the easiest AFCW for a while.

This time last year Rashawn Slater was healthy.

Not knowing all the FA signings, trades, draft, and 2026 season injuries….it seems a tad premature making such claims.

KC on a soft rebuild. I expect them to be better in 2027.
and I expect 2027 Mendoza to be better than 2026 Mendoza.
The division will get better, thus, 2026 will be the easiest to win as every team improves.

Is that what we call it now? KC has had a couple good signings in Walker and Tonga, and Mahomes is still going to be dangerous no matter how much we want to downplay it. Brady tore his ACL in his 9th year and look how he turned out... The AFCW will be a dogfight and my point was just that, Hortiz needs to knock this draft out of the park.

You quickly forget that in order to make a change of tide in this organization many years need to pass by..... and a Herculean effort, this to change the culture... we are just getting over the "Chargering" thing... I take this as a herculean first step in the Chargers Evolution Process....

We went 8-5 with both OTs out, beating LVR and KC. Denver was the only solid team.

Which is why some posters wanted the organization to go balls to the wall and really improve the roster.

I cannot just blame this all on Hortiz because his hands might be tied from a financial perspective in terms of being able to give out certain levels of contracts.

How about we win a playoff game, or even be competitive in one, before we get cocky?

We play in one of the 2 hardest divisions in the NFL. I am not foolish enough to write off Reid, Mahomes and the Chiefs, Denver are rightfully the division favorite, and the Raiders will be much, much improved from last year.
