I would have gone with Dunlap but he's in a sort of a purgatory state right now with the migraines. If he plays this weekend I'll sub in Dunlap for Rivers. Actually I think Dunlap in the 1st quarter and Rivers in the 4th quarter. haFor Stinky-Jon-Wizzleteats....

Gotta be an OL. They've been unusually healthy this year.Prediction:
Correct: Chargers CI fails miserably.
Fail: Team stays in San Diego until their lease runs out in 2020. (without getting new deal done by then) .
Sig Bet WIN: The Chargers will file for relocation on January 15.

You guys keep acting like we're cursed or that this has something to do with how the team trains. We're not, and I doubt it.
The guys who are on IR and who have missed significant time due to injury this year are the same guys who this happens to almost every year. Verrett got hurt because his body, like most bodies, isn't meant to take the pounding that comes with playing in the NFL. Same with Allen. Same with Addae. Same with Te'o. Same with Watt. Same with Dunlap. All these dudes, with the exception of Addae, had suffered injuries before they became Chargers. (With Addae - I don't know - he didn't get a draft profile. But, if you've seen him play, you know why he gets injured so often - it ain't his training, and it ain't bad juju.) Unsurprisingly, they are still getting injured. If you want a safe bet as to the next guy out, go with somebody who has been injured before. Perryman? Wasn't he injured when we got him? Just like Watt. Just like Verrett. Just like Allen. Just like this new center we got who hasn't played.
You might say - hey, what about Woodhead; he never got hurt until he became a Charger. He wasn't asked to make the combination of catches and carries with the Patsies that he was with us. The biggest number he reached before us was 131 when he was 25 years old. As soon as he came to the Chargers, he got the ball 182 times, which means he probably was on the field a shitload more than he had ever been in his career. Oh, and now he's 31. But, you are right. He wasn't injury prone until his second year with us.
You might say - hey, what about Orlando Franklin. And you'd be right. He was healthy until we got him. But two dudes getting injured isn't a trend.Last edited by Guest; 10-08-2016, 06:40 AM.

Matt Slauson. Just think-- all of our (currently healthy enough to play) draft picks could be playing at the same time if Tuerk is forced into action by a Slauson injury. Bosa, Henry, Tuerk, Perry, Brown, Watt and Kaser. Plus undrafted rookie Spencer Pulley, if Franklin remains out. If only we had a coaching staff that could develop these players, we might be able to develop some momentum going into 2017.
