Ford played great in Seattle and then they went to a 3-4 and had him playing DE a lot. Not suited for that.

Not sure what happened in Buffalo, other than they already had 3 pretty good DTs and he wasn’t seeing the field. May have demotivated him?

One year deal, likely very cheap, becomes the best run stuffing IDL we have immediately. He also can provide a little inside pass rush.

Even more helpful, if he can show Otito and C.J. Okoye how to do the same. This D-line is desperately in need of some pocket-crashers.

It might only be that he's a good system fit for Minter's defense, and that it capitalizes on what Ford does best.

This isn't a "hoot and holler" signing by any stretch, but I have no problem with the IDL competition being deepened. Particularly with a guy who's motivated by a 'prove it' deal.

5-10, and 310?!? This guy is a bowling ball! Let's see some pins flyin'.

I'm still hopeful @ Jerrod Clark. He dominated OLs in college. He'll never get a better chance to play in NFL.

I’m excited about signing Poona Ford. Just a hopeful fan-projection, but I see the real potential for him to make plays and to be a significant building block in the D-line. Imagining his impact and potential to beat/defeat offensive players becomes exponential when he is combined with Bosa, Mack, Fox, Tui, Og, Matlock, et al. Okay it may not be the Rams Fearsome Foursome of the 60s & 70s, but on paper it beats anything we’ve put on the field for far too many seasons. We’ve added a vet, who can play and win. Looking forward.

Poona is a great name for a DT. Chris and Christian … not so much.
