Ladd had 6 catches for 87 yards tonight. 3 catches and 87 yards behind the record.

Hopefully he gets it done in NE so he doesn't have to depend on 17 regular season games (vs 16).
to be fair, Allen did his in 15 games. So Ladd comes up short per game.
Makes me appreciate what a sensation Allen was as a rookie coming off an injury.

Splitting hairs, but Ladd did miss one game this year so his stats are from 14 games and he could equal Keenan's stats in his 15th game.

Bottom line - we were lucky to have Allen and are lucky to have Ladd.

Allen played with Rivers and Herbert and his longest TD was yesterday - looked it up, 45 yards. I was a bit surprised he has never had a longer one.

That was one of Caleb's best throws. It was a dart. Keenan has longer receptions than that but I guess not a TD.
Though I'm not sure how long his TD was against the Cowboys 3-4 maybe 5 years ago when he zigged and zagged his way in. Long speed isn't his best asset.

probably a long shot, but maybe part of the WR solution is getting Allen back. it sounds like he's got some gas left in the tank.

maybe we get a mid-priced free agent speedster to stretch the field and bring back Allen as another possession guy. then use the rest of our free agency bankroll and draft picks on other positions.
