I dont understand moving Keenan, the management has to know he still has plenty left in the tank. Sure we'll take a WR @5 but now that guy will have even more pressure being the best WR we have day 1. Hope Harbaugh is ready for that because now defense wont be respecting our passing game.

Lets get a running game they have to worry about and some speed for Herbert strikes on play action.

Were you pounding the table to trade Keenan this offseason before it happened? You were in the keep Bosa and trade Keenan frame of mind?
Sounds like your just saying the teams always right, in Harbaugh we trust, fuck anyone who disagrees.
I am not choosing to die at all. I am choosing to express my frustration and disappointment of having one of my all time favorite players dumped while he is still great and a good cap value for a 4th round choice when we don't have anything waiting in the wings to replace what we have lost. This is a great place to do that, thanks to FLEET for keeping this place open for all of us.
Most people find this a shocking and stunning move and are struggling to make sense of it outside of some people who treat the loyalty to the franchise like their religion that they can not question.migrated from chargerfans.net then the thenflforum.com then here

Or they tried to extend his contract with an AAV of say 17m - something like 3/51 wiuth say 23guaranteed to make him whole but in future years, lower base salaries and he turned it down wanting 3/60 with more guarantees
can you or someone provide a source that says KA was offered an extension?
I would feel a lot better if that were true.

To preface, yes I was ok with trading KA, however it was mainly money related.
I've brought this up in years past and wish the NFL would institute an "Icon Tag". Similar to the franchise tag but different. You use it on a true ICON of your franchise.- Cap hit would be vet minimum or some average. - I'd even be fine with ZERO cap hit
- Must have been drafted by the Franchise
- Must have 10 years+ at the franchise that drafted them
- Pillar in the community type guy
- Only allowed to use on one player at a time.
- Maybe a 3 year limit
Fans love guys like this. Most fans don't even want to see guys like that on other teams. I didn't want to see Emmit Smith on the cardinals!
Some negatives:- Some owners/GMs/coaches might be against it because they just want to move on and wont have the "too expensive" excuse for fans
- Players themselves may want out / union may not like the deal for some unforeseen reason

Hang in there. We don't play games for 6 months. The offence will have more weapons before we do.

TT and Staley made an actual mess out of this team's roster and salary cap over the past 2-3 years, so something had to be done.
And...I doubt this is the end. MW could be back; we could swing a major trade down in the draft; there are other intriguing FAs still out there.
Hell, it's been a FUN off-season for a change. KA was a great Charger, but he's now a Chicago Bear. Time to move on.
