Just watched his in game interview against the Saints. WHAT A FUCKING STUD! He is truly one of the coolest dudes I've ever seen play this game. Rare talent and rare individual. I only hope we can contain him on the 8th.
OT: JJ Watt

That's awesome. In the interview they had him retell his story because his father and uncle are firefighters. I guess he went to a hospital where some injured firefighters were. They were injured in a fire that killed bunch of firefighters in a wildfire.
He went to the hospital met the family took them all out to dinner and just hung out with them for a day. He's taking advantage of his riches and stardom in a positive way. Wish he was a Bolt.

It's actually more important, to me anyway, in this day and age of guys like Cromartie, Jackhole, Cutler, and - especially - Michael Vick and Aaron Hernandez - for a football player to shine as a PERSON as well as an athlete.
I have historically rooted against ANY player who plays against the Chargers, even if that person was a Charger at one time himself.
I am going to make an exception for JJ Watt. I wish him well regardless of opponent. And that includes the game on September 9th.Last edited by QSmokey; 08-29-2013, 07:08 AM.

Yes, he's a really cool guy. Coincidentally I met him recently. We had a meeting at Reliant and we got a behind the scenes tour of the stadium, and he happened to be in the cafeteria. I got to speak with him briefly. Real nice kid. Nothing phony or pretentious about him.
The fire that killed those firefighters was a major story in Houston. Class move by JJ (and the Texans, who are incredibly well-run).
