It's been different roles. Tourek has been playing more as SOLB setting that edge. Beltre has been getting that free pass (as it should be since he's the quicker OLB).

I think it's by design as well. We need someone to be that run stuffing OLB if JJ goes down. Tourek seems better suited with his size.

All of them need a lot of work with technique.

Yes, you are correct.
I was just thinking that a number of times Tourek should have been in position to make a play, and he over-ran it or was just a bit out of position.
He does do a pretty good job of getting penetration if needed...just hasn't made many plays, himself.

Speaking of dudes who've improved... Harrell looks much better tonight than earlier in the preseason. (although I thought he looked ok at Arizona)
