Not sure about the value at pick 5, but really like the fit. While there are mixed reviews as to whether Latham has to play right tackle, or could slide to guard, Fuaga seems more capable of playing either (some project him inside anyway, although many think he could stay at tackle). Makes more sense than Latham to me, as they could start him at right guard this year, and possibly out to right tackle next year, if Pipkins underperforms and they decide to move on from him. Right guard was a big problem for us last year, understandable as Salyer was converting from tackle to guard. And that frees up Salyer to be our swing tackle. Salyer's first year at left tackle was better than his second year at right guard. Maybe Salyer is a better tackle than guard.

If we draft Latham instead of Fuaga, Pipkins probably becomes a very expensive swing tackle this year, which is not the best use of our resources. Maybe we could trade Pipkins, but I'd like to see what the new coaching staff can do with him.

        This thread called it.

Poll results are telling. They tell the truth. Now plenty are saying great pick! Plenty are saying shut up if you don't like it!
