That is the 6th fastest 40 time of all WRs this class.

McConkey fits what Harbaugh wants to do, and I even mentioned that earlier. In trading up, that tells me that Hortiz had McConkey rated extremely high, and that they did not think he would fall to them. McConkey is also -- like Alt -- a NFL player's kid; pedigree matters.

I have no idea why folks would be disappointed. McConkey has 4.39 speed. He is the best route runner in this draft, by far -- it isn't close. His metrics are absolutely phenomenal. He is a great, and I mean great, fit for this team.

Now, would I rather they had picked defense, like DT or CB? Probably. But I like the pick, and think he is serious value.

dude was 98 percentile in separation and a 4.39

Separation is king for a WR IMO. Forget about fighting for those 50-50 balls.
