a center and maybe an OG.

BUT we cannot win many football games by playing smash mouth football. You need a great D to go along with it. So
the smart moves now is build up the D. I would be surprised if we went with a WR @2, 3. It's possible later in the draft.
More probable we'll address WR after the draft with a vet. There are a few good WR free agents out there.

I'd look for DL, CB in RD2, 3. LB or CB, DL which ever we miss on in RD3. RD4 RB, perhaps more OL, DL and guys for
backup the rest of the way.

The best positions available at the top of the 2nd RD are CB, DL and WR. My take: we should just skip WR and fix the D.
Yep, I noted this in another thread. UMich had the #1 defense in the nation last season. You can't play 50's football without a dominant D. If we have to play catch up we're dead meat with the way this roster is shaping up.

Below is the Athletic’s mock of rounds 2 & 3. They have the Chargers picking Corum in the 3rd. Please no, especially with third round capital

      Round 2

      33. Buffalo Bills (from CAR): Adonai Mitchell, WR, Texas

      34. New England Patriots: Ladd McConkey, WR, Georgia

      35. Arizona Cardinals: Cooper DeJean, CB, Iowa

Between DeJean’s versatility and the Cardinals’ needs in the secondary, this is a team-player pairing that made a ton of sense in the first round — and makes even more sense in Round 2.

      36. Washington Commanders: Patrick Paul, OT, Houston

      37. Los Angeles Chargers: Junior Colson, LB, Michigan

      38. Tennessee Titans: Johnny Newton, DT, Illinois

      39. Carolina Panthers (from NYG): Kool-Aid McKinstry, CB, Alabama

      40. Washington Commanders (from CHI): Marshawn Kneeland, Edge, Western Michigan

      41. Green Bay Packers (from NYJ): Edgerrin Cooper, LB, Texas A&M

Would have loved DeJean. Looking at the Chargers pick of Colson, would prefer Cooper. Any of Newton, Cooper, or Colson works just fine. Also like Fiske, Harbaugh mentioned the element/trait of ‘compete’ , Fiske’ got that. But as stated above, just my 2 cents……
Colson as the green dot guy would be interesting. Get the D playing as one. Even if he isn’t BPA. Not my choice though.
Now, if you excuse me, I have some Charger memories to suppress.

I think based on the above list - there are so many good names
trading down wouldn't be the worst idea

This is why he won’t take Mitchell (me guessing). I was being coy/polite “not a Harbaugh player” - he plays like a pussy prima donna. Doesn’t fight for shit, poor feel for the zone holes, can’t block, gets jammed up against press due to his lack of fight, and he drops too much. Coleman is the tough WR to pick instead, but McConkey has rare separation skill that is so needed in our current WR room. I heard he had something on his medical, not sure if there are any concerns there.

Watch McConkey stop/go or stop/cut - it’s wicked what he does to CBs. 4.39, if they give some cushion he can break off routes like snapping a pretzel and move chains all day. Or he can take the top off if CBs dare to cheat up on him. Keenan+

Marshawn Kneeland is an awesome prospect...but I never consider him...doesnt seem like a need, but...would be interesting surprise pick...great value...
              Adopted Bolt: Kimani Vidal RB

Final prediction: Latham OT, Colson LB, Sainristil CB,Rice WR, Zinter OG, Nourzad OC, MacLachlan TE, Vidal RB, Lovett DT

I prefer Tommy's, In & Out or The Hat. 3 things I cannot get in JoJa.

And that’s not to say Newton or DeJean wouldn’t be a dream pick too.
This is also Hunter Renfrow who is currently a Free Agent. That's the route I think we take. A vet on the cut down list. Again if Herbert has time, it really doesn't matter. He'll get them the ball.
