Sounds like he just good all over..
This dude sounds like a very solid all-around talent at corner. There's nothing he can't do. That's a good thing IMO. Sometimes the draft-niks miss some guys.

The more I research this guy the more I like this pick. He is basically going to play the same role in Minter's D as Sainristil did at Michigan. Can't wait to see this defense at full strength. It's going to be fun.

I wouldn't rule out a move to FS.
coming from Maryland, his athleticism profile may not translate to slot CB in the NFL.
His superior run D and ball hawking ability would be useful as at FS.
          the anti-Woods.
Imagine him facing the action and not having to run with speedy WRs.

              Easy there, cowboy. lol

If Still can just be a reliable contributor from day one, he will have exceeded his draft position.

It won't take long for us to see if Hortiz and his draft crew made good judgments.

I don't think he will move to safety, it's possible. I think he was draft to be a slot CB and to fill the role that Sainristil played at Michigan. I believe we will see him blitzing quite a bit this year.

Ya I think that's likely, but i'm keeping an eye out for that switch
I'm also mainly going off traits because there is such limited game film on Still available on Youtube.

What's funny is that there was Chargers podcast that came out yesterday with Kollman talking about this himself.
I did not hear it until after my amateur take on Still but he also believes a move to S is in play "just to get him on the field".
He says Derwin is the Nickle/S making plays from the box ala Kyle Hamilton (Ravens).
I can see this DB room go in many different directions, with the addition of Fulton and Hart, I can see Zont playing slot CB.
if Taylor makes the team, that's another option.
but if Still doesn't start at slot CB, I don't see him on the perimeter and that leaves him with FS.

See, this where I think Still is better suited to play Nickle/S up close to the line. He is a tackling machine with good speed. I would leave Derwin at FS and let him run around like a Pterodactyl on crack in the back field.

Kinda agree on this, on paper/with Still’s college tape to look at. I imagine Minter will get the right player in the right position, however it shakes out.

Quintin Jammer says yes! Move him to safety.

I hear you, talk to coach.
Crack Pterodactyl defense, I'm all in.
