Wait a minute. Something's not right here. You can't help but be suspicious.

I really wanted McConkey and Brenden Rice in this draft - got 'em both!

Man, if QJ can rebound and DD continues to progress...we actually have a helluva WR room.

Here's what Walter Football has to say about Brenden Rice.

            Projected Round (2024): 3-4.

4/22/24: With Jordan Addison in the NFL, Rice helped pick up the slack in 2023 and turned in a strong senior year for the Trojans. He totaled 45 receptions for 791 yards and 12 touchdowns in 2023. Rice was a reliable receiver for Caleb Williams, using his size and polished route-running to make catches for his quarterback. Rice has good size and uses it well to make contested catches. He is the son of NFL great and Hall of Famer Jerry Rice.

Unless he said he murdered or raped someone I can't think of a good reason why he dropped so far.

Maybe. But there are guys that inexplicably drop every year.

He seems motivated and ready to go.

I suspect some of his high rating is based on genetics not skills. There is room to improve, he is not a finished product.
Now, if you excuse me, I have some Charger memories to suppress.

I wouldn't go *that* far, but my point was, "How can you *not* wonder?"

Brenden Rice doesn't have to be a 'star' in the Chargers' offense. Just a contributing member.

I feel confident in saying that-- with Justin Herbert throwing him the ball-- Rice can be at least as productive as T.Billy was.
