My current theory is that other teams were chasing traits.
The best part of Brenden and Cornelius play are intangibles.
That and depth at the position was going to be a big help, and Joe was counting on it."The author assumes no responsibility or liability for any errors or omissions in the content of this post. Agree with the sentiment that I haven't felt this confident about a 7th rounder since....ever?ESPN Screename: GoBolts02

There is speed
Last spring, Rice became one of the fastest athletes in the state, starting the season in early March running 100 meters in 11.7 seconds to running it in 10.79 in mid-May and placing third at the Division I state track and field championships. He also ran the 200 meters in 21.84 seconds, good enough for a bronze medal.
He is Jerry Rice's son. But the three-sport Hamilton athlete has emerged as Brenden Rice, an elite wide receiver in his own right
Please correct me if I am wrong but track speed is bit different, less explosive but when they get top speed they can hold to it - I see 90 yards bombs as CBs unable to keep with him xD

Playaction, that is actually working, is perfect for bigger, physical receivers...the DB doesnt know whether to press and cover, or defeat a block to play the run....this puts the DB at a disadvantage, and helps the wr get that seperation. Now, it is up to the wr, with coaching, to develop nuances in their release to sell a block, then explode into a route, or vice versa.
Not only are Rice AND Johnson good, low risk, high reward prospects for this (7th rounders), if they bring their lunch pails, and a chip on their shoulders, they are gonna put pressure on the rest of the room to up their game...
The wr room is gonna be very interesting this year in camp...the hope would be the competition improves everybody, with better starters, and hungry depth behind them.Adopted Bolt: Kimani Vidal RB
Final prediction: Latham OT, Colson LB, Sainristil CB,Rice WR, Zinter OG, Nourzad OC, MacLachlan TE, Vidal RB, Lovett DT
