    1. Our former offense needed tier 1, elite, WRs since there is no rushing attack threat.

For our new offense, we don't need elite WRs, just decent ones will be fine..

    2. So Ladd and/or Josh will be our WR1. Harrison or Naber are 'too luxury' for this offense.

    3. Thus, if Josh wants elite WR extension, we would not extend him.

    Go Bolts!!!

      When KA and MW are healthy, no;

when KA is healthy and MW is on injured reserve, maybe .... depends on whether QJ improves enough.

Jim Harbaugh decides that. Not Greg Roman.

Special teams coverage units will have one or two players on offense involved in them. Where they might have to make hits/tackles. The last WR on the active roster will be on them, and if they are a kickoff/punt returner. In the event that the WR ahead of them on the depth chart of the offense goes down to injury during the game, that's where they may be summoned on offense.

NFL allows teams to carry 47-48 players on the active gameday roster now. When Harbaugh was last in the league, it was 46.

We got two sub 4.40 guys and one 4.44 guy. So we got better speed.

I'm starting to suspect that the era of Guyton is over.

Well said...it's nice to not be under the pressure of having to extend any of yer wideouts to monster contracts that put us in cap hell...Trader Joe's history in Baltimore is to let high priced vets go, get the comp pick and re-draft...

No way I could to come to this conclusion at this point. Gotta see them play first.

Someone could definitely make the argument that Johnson and Rice together is more impressive than Jackson and Floyd were coming from college… so we’ll have to just wait and see

Why was there no mention of Jalen Guyton as the only 4 Chargers receivers from last year? They mentioned DD, QJ, Fehoko. Josh Palmer.

                      Excellent Mike Williams replacement :

« McConkey could quiet any such concerns with his quickness and excellent routes if able to stay health.»

As a group, IMO they have everything: some speed, size and play making. The concern is that they are a little raw. I think the passing game overall should now be ok though as we have experience in the TEs and RBs as receivers.

If Ladd or even QJ develops into a real #1 quickly then we could be more scary.

He is an unrestricted free agent.
