* I believe that this is a Joe Garagiola line, for those who remember him on MLB broadcasts of the 60's and 70's. In fact-- now that I'm thinking about it-- I believe Garagiola used the line in describing Red Sox 1st base coach, Don Zimmer.

Funny story, I once worked for a guy who was a descendent of Papa Bear Halas (was his great grandfather). He was a great guy by the way, super smart and a lot of fun. He had a picture of Halas and Gayle Sayers on his office wall and it was signed by both. The day I started, I commented on it and said what a great picture it was. He said, “Yes, and it’s family”. I said “YOU are related to GALE SAYERS?” He asked me to leave his office.
