So I watched parts of 3 different college games last night.
UNC vs USC
Vanderbilt vs Ole Miss
North Dakota vs Valparaiso (only because my Jackrabbits play UND in week 2)
I only saw 1 team snap the ball from under center. That was UND, and they are a FCS school.
UNC, USC, Vandy, and Ole Miss....every single play was out of the shotgun...people spread out everywhere... running the read option when they ran, and throwing the ball all over the place.
Football is changing at lightspeed. Everyone has seen the success of Urban Meyer, and Chip Kelly, and it's all uptempo spread the field all the time.
With Manning in Denver, Chip Kelly in Philly, Atlanta ran alot of no huddle last year, as did New England... McCoy is dabbling in it...
It's going to be a very different game than the one we grew up with.
