The Chargers will play the final three games of the season without defensive lineman Tenny Palepoi.
The team announced on Monday that Palepoi has been suspended four games by the league for violating the league’s policy on performance enhancing substances.
“While disappointed to hear the news today about Tenny, we respect and support the League’s decision. We are confident that he will learn from this and understand what is expected of him in the future,” the team said in a statement.
Palepoi has played almost half the snaps on defense for the Chargers this year as a reserve on the defensive line. He has 13 tackles after having 16 in 16 appearances during his rookie season. He will be suspended for the first week of next season as well.
