Lindy's Pro football 2024 Guide: Wild Card team, LBs #1 rated, Special Teams #2

The Lindy's Pro Football guide hit the market w great fanfare as usual this week or at least was stocked on the magazine shelves and there was some good love for the team and some of the units. Big praise for Harbaugh and a WC position this year.

Overall, most units ranked avg or better w a little work to do on some units, ie the DL and WR, but LB and ST rated a 9 and QB 8.5.
Josh Palmer, Alohi Gilman, Derius Davis, Cameron Dicker and ST were all well recognized.

#2 in AFCW, WC team, SF wins it all.
    #3 QB, Justin Herbert
    #6 WR 3 , Josh Palmer
    #8 TE 2, Hayden Hurst
#10 RB Ground & pound, Gus Edwards
    #6, RB 2, JK Dobbins
    #5 FB, Ben Mason
    #10 LT, Rashawn Slater
    #3 OLB, Khalil Mack
    #4 OLB, Joey Bosa
    #1 LBs overall
    #10 CB 1, Asante Samuel
    #9 FS, Alohi Gilman
    #2 SS, Derwin James
    #8 Secondary overall
#5 All purpose player, Derius Davis (thinking this is PR,KR)
    #2 Special Teams

Oh man! I haven't purchased any of their stuff in over 2 decades...but I did from the early 1980s until the early 2000s...

Thanks for the head's up CB. I get one every year. I'll have to keep an eye out at our Safeway magazine rack.

It has to include OLBs too where we have an outstanding group.
Now, if you excuse me, I have some Charger memories to suppress.
            Let’s win one for Mack.

Thanks for starting this thread, CndB!

Lindy's takes me way back to before the interwebs. Used to buy Lindy's, Street and Smiths and any others I could find at our grocery store as a teenager. It was often the only Chargers focused stuff I could get. Even if it was written so far in advance of the season and off season that it was not very accurate. I miss those days.

Like, how am I a traitor? Your team are traitors.

It is good reading. There are 4 pages on each team w a roster w comments on every player. A section on the draft, unit rankings and the look ahead which ranks all the top graduating draft prospects is also good. I use that for college games to watch players who will be in the nfl draft in the spring.

I used to be in a pool and the overall and unit ratings were good to compare and cap teams as well.

Mack, Bosa, Tuli and Dupree are the #1 OLB group by a fair margin IMO. The ILBs just have to be respectable, which I think they are.

I'll be surprised if Junior Colson isn't a top tier inside LB this season. I hope he's 100% healthy now.

I like Lindy because of the color photographs and quality magazine....and its the first to come out.....

PFW and others tend to do better stories/views but lesser quality.... lol

before the intetnet..... i used to buy half a dozen of those magazines.... lol
