    Again can't disagree.

I realize Spiller hasn't had many carries but there is a reason for that. Guys like him and Rountree looked like such plodders you dont need to see a lot or have a valid reason to give them more carries. Plus coaches also give playing time based on what they see in practice. Clearly the past 2 years Spiller hasn.t blown any coaches away in practice reps either.

I would love to be wrong and see Spiller blossom into a stud but he just doesn't look the part on the field with his physical traits.

We'll see how Edwards does this year, Corum was clearly better last season. I wonder though if Harbaugh will go by talent or friendship? Corum did start for him.
Im wondering how Ohio State splits up their carries. They might have the 2 best RBs in football. Gordon is stud i like him a lot.

And i think Edwards is talented. I like him a lot i think he has a big year. And i also think that Harbaugh would make that pick based on talent not just because they are so close. I think those 2 things can be true at once. Talent and friendship. Kind of like that Colson pick.

Agree Edwards is obviously on the list and Jim H knows him well. Just more talent to look at this season
There was some talent at RB in April but it wasn't top heavy.

Also like Ashton Jeanty of Boise st. He is an very good athlete.

What do you think will be the biggest need in next year's draft, RB or IDL? Of course, much of that depends on how well young players like Dobbins and Vidal perform in 2024. If they have standout seasons, and Dobbins stays healthy, RB will be less of a priority. Of course there could be a breakout star among the current crop of DL, but I think it's more likely that the offensive run game will shine in 2024 more than the defensive's ability to stop the run. So I'm thinking DL is going to be the priority in April, more so than RB?

Hard to say top need without seeing the team play a real game and not knowing say, top 50 in the 2025 draft, both will change. I'd guess CB will be our top pick.

At least one RB who makes the 53 man roster is going to go on the injury list. Based on Dobbin's history, he probably won't make it the whole season. Kelly has familiarity with Justin Herbert and the offense, albeit from a different system. He isn't a nobody like some have made him out to be. His experience would help the Chargers in a situation that calls for help. I didn't think/imagine Denzel Perryman would ever come back to this organization. Here he is now.

IDK.....I'm also not saying all those guys are first rounders and i do think we will pick in the 20's, or 32 😁.

Some of those guys could be second rounders and there are more I didn't name.

It's much too early to tell on draft prospects and much too early to say Dobbins will be a stud or will get hurt again. We just don't know.

I'm just naming guys I like at RB and we very well could draft one. Likely will. Id guess anywhere from round 2 on down. No idea what will happen between TC and the end of the season.

Treyveon Henderson is a very impressive back. Pure runner, great long speed, ok pass catcher, not asked to pass block. He is a faster Ezekiel Elliott in his prime. But has had some injury issues and missed a bunch of games. He is also a really good kid, coming back for his senior year. Would love to see him in a Charger uniform.

I love Gordon. Early love affair. Kind of graceful. And punishing with his runs. Like a big wave surfer he carves through lanes. . No fear. He runs like prime Leveon Bell. I dont want him getting 300 carries again though. lol Jeanty is solid. I was obsessed with Gibbs last year. Especially as a complimentary type like how they use him. He will go off this season. Gordon isnt that level but sniffing 1st roundish. Coming off a heavy workload can cause injuries. I think the only guy that that had more carries than him was Vidal. lol Nice.

Henderson should show special talents. Getting another RB in the portal that will eat carries though might force limited chances. That run game at Ohio St will be crazy. Both guys will be special. Top 5 RBs are looking really solid. 2nd round for sure. Teams in high demand could go late 1.

If the Chargers select a RB in next year's draft it will be a big back to replace Gus. My prediction is Vidal will be the established #1 by the end of the year. He is a 3 down back that you are looking for as your #1. IMHO, they will be looking for a big bruising back next year and will likely look to the later rounds.

Time to put my money where my mouth is: Hampton will be better than Jeanty!

Safe to say that things will be in complete Melt Down Mode around here if the Bolts 'earn' anything earlier than the 20th pick.

It would mean that the running game failed to materialize as envisioned, and that the run defense never found suitable answers on the IDL.

Those, IMO, are the glaring sore spots that are counting on miracles (Dobbins staying healthy?!? Pass that kool-aid, man!)) for success in 2024.

Dobbins is one serious injury away from being the Jason Verrett of this decade.

I'd say there are two paths to success in the run game.

Dobbins stays injury free and plays with the mojo he had before the injuries.

Vidal is able to transfer the success he had in the Sun Belt Conference to the NFL.

If either happens, we're good. If both happen, we're golden.
