Best Ways To Get From SD to Sofi? - Game Travel Ideas

Hi All,

my nephew is starting at SDSU this fall and will be meeting me at Sofi to go to some games (we used to travel together from Santa Clara).

any advice on the best / fastest ways to get there by train / bus?

It's been a looooong time since I checked but the younger me would have preferred Greyhound. He should call around. How about a rental car?

I clicked their train option, they forgot to put him on the trolley from SDSU to where he gets on the adult-size train at Old Town lol. I think the path would be:

1. Trolley from SDSU campus to Old Town
2. Train from Old Town (SD) to LA Union Station
3. Metro rail or shuttle? from Union Station to Sofi?

I've done the first two links but not sure on the last link, i've never done that metro train and don't know but suspect there may be a shuttle bus.

i have been searching and there are some "chargers buses" that seem pretty cool - 5 north bolt seems like a good one.

my nephew thought there was a one hour train, but i am not finding anything that fast.

he will also be able to ask around once he gets there in august.

there is no 1 hr train, no. there is no 2 hr train. Train from Old Town to Union Station is 2:50 due to all of the stops, and he has to first get to Old Town and then get from LA station to Sofi. that will be a 4+ hr excursion imo.

I never heard of Bolt Buses, thanks for that kernel. Found 5north ... appears 2 stops and then straight to Sofi - 1 in Oside and 1 in OC.
