Here's a more detailed breakdown: [1, 5]- Draft Selection: Each team receives 7 picks in the NFL draft and an additional one for each 13th round pick. [1, 5]
- Player Performance: Only a small fraction of drafted players become long-term NFL starters. [1, 3]
- First Round Success: A first-round pick has about an 83% chance of becoming an NFL starter for at least half their career. [3]
- Second Round Success: The second round also has a strong chance of producing a starter. [3]
- Third and Fourth Round: Third and fourth rounds are good for finding role players, but the chance of becoming an NFL starter drops for later rounds. [3, 6]
- Later Rounds: Players selected in later rounds have a much smaller chance of becoming a starter. [3, 6]
- Undrafted Free Agents: Undrafted free agents also have a chance to become NFL starters, though their odds are lower than those drafted. [4, 7]
Generative AI is experimental.

The average draft produces 1.7 5-year starters and 2.5 3-year starters. If you are hoping for 5-6 starters per draft...don't hold your breath.

Bechton some people like...that is a risky signing to me.
Holding out hope Ravens release Andrews...and not even blown out of the water with that idea...but it would be a fair improvement at a position of great need.
Hours of youtube down the drain...doubt we draft anybody I fell in love with....but I was worried the free agency fix of the IOL was a dream...now Im just praying for a draft fix there, lol

yes - Bears, NE, NYG, Hou, Wash, Car, ?
No - Chiefs, Bengals, Bills, Ravens, Lions, Min, Bucs, Rams, Jags, Cards, Saints, Dolphins, Packers
I'm gonna puke if I read one more time "uhhhh, the foundation is built through the draft". FFS - did anyone ever say "no, dont draft good players - absolutely don't do that!" How does signing good players stop Joe from drafting?
