No it doesn't. They signed him to a one-year deal. They still need a RB for the future.
Time to put my money where my mouth is: Hampton will be better than Jeanty!

A few cherry picked highlites in 4 years. What about all the 1 -2yard plunges that gives him a medicore career ave under 4 yards a carry? Never once making a 40 yard gain in 4 years ? Think about that.

I guess i just want a higher celing than some here. Like I said i value RBs that can make explosive plays. What did this mundane, low scoring offense lack last year?? Exlplosive plays

I said that a while back. They are going to fill holes so they don't have to worry about drafting a specific need to fill a hole. Harris is the perfect example of that.

For sure , he provides durability as a high volume rusher. Solid player, just not a dynamic player or great RB. I like that its a one year deal. Lets see how it works out.

With all that money they didnt outbid any teams for any other position. They paid Harris top of the RB market money to come in and be the starter, not insurance.

And they will get him in the 5th round.

Which they will not use a first or second round draft pick on. They will use a later pick on a developmental RB. I am telling you that Najee will be getting starter carries of 15-20 carries a game. We will see who is right.

20-40mil/yr vs 9mil for a year is a big difference. If Harris goes off this year, I bet Hortiz will let him walk next year. It's going to be the same thing that happened with Ford. They let him walk and didn't get into a bidding war.

The OL was not great, but not bad compared to the previous years. He just made less with the blocking he did have than average. Barkley was great with a bad OL and awesome with a great OL. Harris was bad with a mediocre OL. Combine that with heavy usage and approaching the RB cliff, I'm staying far away from him unless it's a very cheap deal.

To give you context, JK had a pretty good YPC over expected, even with the weak interior for the Chargers. All our other backs were below average. Harris would look like our other backs.
All our other backs played 17 games , gained a 1,000yds and avg 4.0 YPC? You're smoking some good shit.

That may well be, we will see what kind of year he has and how it plays out, but for 2025 season Najee Harris is our starting RB

Why would you spend 10 MIL on a RB only to have him be a depth piece and a back up to a rookie?
He's Starting all year as they develop a mid round RB to be eventual starter.

                          Exactly.

Add in that Harbaugh is a fan and tried to recruit him
