One potential target flying under the radar is Rutgers receiver JaQuae Jackson. He dominated the ranks of Division II before transferring to Piscataway, where he posted 361 yards and a touchdown before turning attention to the NFL.

In talking to The Draft Network, Jackson elaborated on the interest he received, including from Buffalo.

“It’s been crazy. It almost feels like the recruiting process all over again,” Jackson said. “I feel like I’m in the transfer portal again. I’ve spoken with about 15, maybe 16 teams.

“I have a few visits lined up. I participated in local days with the Giants and Jets. I’m going up to Philadelphia on the 17th for a local day thing with them. The Bills took me to dinner before my Pro Day. That went very well. Damar Hamlin is a friend of mine. I grew up with Dane Jackson as well, who used to play for them. I’m trying to keep that Pittsburgh to Buffalo pipeline going.”

Jackson boasts above-average athleticism, running a sub-4.50 40-yard dash and a 6.85-second three-cone. At 6-foot-1 and under 185 pounds, he projects more as a versatile field stretcher than a consistent threat over the middle of the field, but his journey inspires optimism in his development.

From showcasing fluidity and separation skills against Ohio State to turning on the jets against Temple, Jackson flashed in his final collegiate season.

A lack of elite measurables, a long Division I track record, and a heavily anticipated pre-draft circuit may dampen his stock, but that’s nothing new for Jackson.

“I’m a very competitive guy. I can handle whatever you put on my plate. I’m a little guy from a D-II program, California PA,” Jackson said. “I’ve worked my way up to put myself in this position. I’m humble. I want to be the best. I’m willing to put the work in. I’ve put in endless hours of work. I love the game. I’m going to absorb knowledge to be the best I can be.

“I’ve beaten adversity my entire life. I’ve never taken no for an answer. Every team should want a guy like that.”
Now, if you excuse me, I have some Charger memories to suppress.
    Let’s win one for Mack.

I hope its not a reflection of the OL

It is, sorta. Who was playing where on OL? We're still screwing around with depth and position on OL. I think Slater was out.Becton hasn't played much.
Meanwhile Tart is flourishing, Tito is having his best year and Eboigbe is playing fast and hard. Hand and Jones fit in just fine.
It'll take a while for OL to catch up with DL and that after the position battles are settled

            1. The OL hasn't named the starters at LG and C. Slater (rest) and Becton (trip to Phil) have missed days.
            2. The DL IS better than most of y'all think.

Yeah, I agree. Don't see them signing anyone (KA) or trading for another WR unless there is an injury.

Eboigbe as wasted pick? Hortiz said that he was a project. That's code for we don't expect much from him in his 1st year because he has some weaknesses that need to be fixed before he is pro ready, but we believe the ceiling is high for this player.

I've said in the past that the defense is light years ahead of the offense right now. If it's like this before the 1st game, then I would be worried. Right now, not so much.

We lost Fox and Ford. But I always thought that Oboigbe was drafted to replace Fox. He is the 5tech DE in the base, who slides inside on passing downs. The Ravens have had a ton of success with guys at that spot over the years and we are playing the same scheme, with a lot of coaches from that tree. Fox was very productive to start last year, then faded and didn't do much later in the season. That happens with undersized guys, and Fox is pretty undersized for a 2 gap D. Lets hope that Oboigbe can fill that role.

Ford's production is going to be tough to replace. It is nice to see a bunch of guys all working so hard to step up their games. I don't think any one of them is going to replace Ford, but collectively I think we will be fine. Recreate them in the aggerate. The big question is how much are Jones and Hand going to bring. I don't know that either are going to be big playmakers, but can they keep the ILB clean and push the pocket some. They are not super productive in the stat sheet sense but they are good players in terms of doing dirty work that lets others around them be productive. Tito flashing ability is nice, but he needs to keep it up. Hopefully Matlock can do so too.

At this point they have 6 guys they like, they're all young, and 4 of them already have some decent experience under their belts, plus we've seen rookie WRs break out early before, there is no reason why Harris and KLS wouldn't be part of that group, matter of fact, guys like QJ that take three years to develop are kind of becoming the exception now...it's boom or bust almost all the time...I was reading that the Patriots might already be releasing Ja'lynn Polk and a few people on this forum that were down on the trade up for Ladd on draft day, some of these folks believed that NE got the better of the trade on draft day...

I don't think coach, Joe, and Minter let Ford go without feeling comfortable about their plan, Tart flashed last year and this year they plan to lean on him heavily like they did Ford, Otito and Egboibe have continued to develop, then they drafted Campbell and signed Jones and Hand...I think the have a plan and they earned my trust last year so I have no reason to doubt that the defense will be really good...
