Can't afford to get sentimental, literally. Don't get me wrong, Mack is a badass and I would welcome him back, but the numbers have to work FOR US. The reality is that he's an aging player with a dropoff in production, and he is at that age where he could fall off that cliff at any moment. I get the leadership aspect of it, but again, it has to be a number that works/helps us. We have A LOT of holes to fill, can't get tunnel vision on Mack just because of sentimentality.

At this point in his career he should just go chase a ring, no hard feelings all around. This team may not even make the playoffs next year with all the holes and much tougher schedule. Does Mack want to stick around for a possible 2026, 2027 playoff push? Doubtful, and I wouldn't blame him.
My guess is that both Bosa and Mack are back at terms we can stomach.
    We play modern Harball.

any high quality player that fills a need and ranks high on our board. DE, WR, RB etc.
Chiefs won the Superbowl with 10 Rookies....

we're gonna have to get a lot of towels to wipe all the TPB slobber off of him once he holds up his jersey at The Bolt.
Ran across this Senior Bowl Interview...Didn't think there might be a player we could use at pick 22 on IOL but if this guy is this flexible including center play sign me up as well. 2 minute mark.... Hawks pick at #18 though....

            Which leads to Center talk.

I think its more likely both are gone than both are back. Mack will be based on contract -if he wants the VonMiller, he's gone.

Bosa should be released. He can't stay healthy and is more likely to jump offsides than he is to sack the QB . He is not a difference maker anymore

Time to get younger - draft a couple players that will grow into the position and not drop off. Jared Verse showed that rookies can contribute. Nolan Smith, Jr, second year - had a very good playoff run

Bosa is not a bad player and the off sides thing is way overblown jmo. But his cap number is not close to warranted and potential savings surpass all other roster options combined - so yeah, thank you Joey and best wishes ...

Stewart is intriguing in that why is he such an obviously gifted physical athlete that has been such an under-deliverer on the actual playing field. red flags scare me.

                    Both those guys scare me….
I like Green, but I’d like him more with his numbers if he played in the SEC…

Here is the thing, I don't know what a good number for Bosa is because there is still the availability question. Maybe its 8-10m - but unless he is used rotationally, I don't see him as a fulltime player. So if he wants to be a rotational player and get paid as such - maybe it might work.

I still think this is the year to get younger with at least one new Edge -- Mack back, replace Bosa. If Mack isn't back - still not paying Bosa more than 8-10 with incentives

Per Stock Exchange all of Stewart's pressure comes from outside speed rushes. He needs a plan B.

Also run, scramble contain is important to Minter. IDK. We all want more juice. I am still scratching my head about the success of Bonitto in DEN.

Edit. I am thinking of J Stewart of Mich. Sorry about any confusion. S Stewart of TAMU is a different and better player IMV.

Not overblown if you are cool with 2 off sides a game
