That leaves him to running better in routes and stuff like that, selling them better.

He'll show some improvement again, far less than last year, but his ceiling is pretty clear by now ... he's wide receiver 3.
He hasnt the route skills to get past CBs deep is his problem. Davante isnt fast, in fact is slower than QJ but he has the route skills to seperate from CBs and be a deep threat. I believe QJ was a 4.5 at his proday and Davante ws a 4.56

Pipkins might benefit from the cap having gone up so damn much, what would it cost to replace him with another veteran wing tackle now that the cap is so high? so perhaps they figured, Fucki it! he's already here and next year he gives a chance at a compensatory pick, plus his actually cash earnings if he becomes the primary insurance at both tackles spots is in the 6.47mil range...he's played on both sides and started at Rt for 2.5 years...it's a luxury that the chargers can easily afford to have such an experienced swing tackle for 2025...then if they unearth someone else that can do that job he could still be traded as other teams lose players towards the trade deadline...his salary is not that big of a deal anymore for a primary back up on O-line...

The guys that want to remain Chargers and that Hortiz and Haurbaugh want back will be re-signed, if they don't get re-signed it's probably because they feel they can improve on those positions, simple as that...plus they have the money to go after better guys...

On my list, the top two names were Molden and Ford. They got one of them done. Dobbins I thought would get done but maybe he has other ideas there too
Hortiz is going to let the market dictate how much he pays those guys, if they go then he'll find someone else, he found all those guys last year, I have no doubt he can find even better ones this year...

Rams get Adams. Good I don't wanna spend $23 million on a 33 year-old player. You have to get young players in now to build chemistry with Justin. Long term. Stop the revolving door of players and coaches. Give him some young studs to not only build football chemistry with… But off the field relationships with those players. Consistency. Tom Brady had Edelman and Gronk. Herbert has ladd but let's keep adding to his inner circle. I really think Justin builds off the field chemistry with guys and it makes him a better player. i'd rather have both Mike Williams and Keenan Allen back at 23 million. For years we held onto players for too long. We have to get younger. And more long-term focused. Just feel like Adams has to be close to having that massive fall after grace season. And i dont want to be the team paying for it. Rams are a perfect fit for an aging stud. Stafford is close to the end as well. Its a great get for the Rams. But i dont want Justin to connect and then have to disconnect so often. With his players. Rivers was really good at coaching new guys and making anyone look amazing. But Herbert isnt that type. He is more football plays from a mathematics perspective....where Rivers was street football smart. Draw it up in the dirt and chuck it. Herbert is pretty structured and cerebral. A little more robotic with his mind.

Loveland isnt Bowers. But he is a freak big TE that moves like a WR. So he is certainly a chess piece. But he and Justin would lock in together. I feel like he is a really safe perfect fit. And given Ladds script off of Bowers when he was in Georgia...Loveland can do a lot of what Brock did that was designed to compliment Ladd. Like opening up the playbook and adding shades of what made Georgia so good with Ladd and Bowers. Thats why i wanted both so bad. You could do that with Loveland. Requires a freak TE. You upgrade Ladd.

Thats great but the odds of Loveland being there at 22 are very low.

Hortiz is going to have to do some shopping in free agency market if he wants to improve Herbert's weak set of weapons. They will probably draft lines of scrimmage early in the draft, where are the weapons going to come from?

                    Cheers!
Interesting stuff. Thanks for posting. My only questions are, ....who is this guy and who is Garrett he talks about asking questions and how are they "inside info"?

I agree. I think they draft a RB and the line on both sides of the ball. Maybe throw a TE in there too.

Heavy play action next year. I've already come to the realization that Hebert is not going to put up numbers to match the top guys and ignore all the "top 5 QB" talk. Joe and Jim are here to win a super bowl and dont care about individual player stats.

It was reported that the Chargers and 49ers were in on Davante Adams. So we did have interest.

We need to trade up ahead of DEN to grab Loveland who would have the greatest consistent impact on winning and losing of any pass catcher Chargers could possibly get of any WR or TE...
