True!.... I remember a highly favored very talented 12-4 Chargers team losing to the Oilers WC team without Earl Campbel, and starting QB pasterini and i think others...

and how about a talented Rivers team, playing Chiefs playing mostly backups on last weekend of season..... win and we get WC... lose and go hime ad cry.... Chargers let Chase daniels run and pass all over Chargers horrible defense..... Reid outsmarted chargers coaches big time.... and everyone but Rivewrs played like all they had to do was show up.?....etc...etc...

so many horrible embarassing inexcusable losses, in over 50 years of being a die hard fan....

Horrific I was there and that’s the last NFL game I attended.

Loss vs Jets 2.0 was the worst for me since 2006.

I was at our only SB game... but at least we all knew we were out matched..... yet in that loss we broke a SB record for recording sacks on Young and we had a record KO return.... if a few passes had not been dropped the game would have been closer, but although our defense was the best in NFL at stuffing the run(so much that DEN with 2k Davis chose to pass on short yardage rather than run) but could not stop any great QB from passing at will...

It was a fun trip and met many celebrities.... and I was on TV on Channel 8 in SD....called my mom at the tiome to turn on TV and my parents were shocked I was at SB and on TV in all my Chargers gear.... Seau jersey.... I had dinner with Seau's family the night before and Seau was the smallest kid in family...even his sisters were bigger than him.... lol

I viewed it as a once in a lifetime opportunity..... and I thought i was right until Harbaugh got here.... I KNOW that harbaugh will get us to at least one SB.... hoping to be alive for that!

The Chargers were playing the Buffalo Bills, whose kicker-- Pete Gogolak-- made a FG with a few seconds left, ending the game in a 20-20 tie.

Balboa Stadium-- at least, the area where *eye* sat-- was concrete bench seats on the entire lower level. It made the soccer pitch that the Bolts played on for a few years before SoFi look like an absolute palace, by comparison.
