Are the fans ready to fire Harbaugh? I think he'll quit before he lets the owner tell him how to coach or what assistants he can hire.

Harbaugh has fired coaches before. He fired both his DC and OC at Michigan and the OC was one of his best friends.

Objectively speaking, we saw what GRo can do with a healthy team. When your down to your 6th and 7th OTs and 3rd and 4th RB there is not a lot you can do, and it massively changes how you call plays.

I don't know maybe it's just me but to think this offense should be running like a well-oiled machine is maybe unrealistic. They should be getting better with guys coming back healthy.

You guys do realize we are 4-3 and 3-0 in the division with a team that has lost its two top RBs, its three top OTs, our best edge player, our biggest free agent addition who was supposed to solidify the interior OL, arguably the best PR in the NFL, our starting saftey, our starting ILB, and I am sure I am missing some. You really want to fire Harbaugh? Who is going to come here and coach? Who would want to if that is how ownership acts?

Not really. He was hurt in the 1st quarter of the Raider game and they were fine that game and the next week against the Broncos.

the guys that have disappeared are Henley and to a lesser extent Derwin.

We have to consider both Derwin and Daiyan as dinged and underperforming. They are the defensive tips of the spear.

This is the key to our problems. They are that vital.

Minter has plenty of capability to adapt and adjust to what offenses do. Generally, mobile QBs are a problem.

We have played very badly on D the past 3 weeks but as wu points out, guys are not healthy.

Mack missed 4 games and only played 12 snaps vs the Colts and none on obvious running downs. He is easily our best edge setter and a huge upgrade over Dupree as a pass rusher.

Derwin has a jacked up wrist (he let slip it was a fracture) and is playing through it.

Henley is clearly not right after his sinus infection/fever game.

Those are our 3 best defensive players and it's not surprising that we have fallen on D the past 3 weeks. Add to that Molden in and out of the lineup and he now has a thumb injury, and Hand got hurt early in the Washington game and it makes it worse. Yes all teams have injuries and nobody will feel sorry for us, but we clearly don't have enough quality depth yet.

I think Harbaugh has final say on his staff. IIRC that was part of his deal. The question is whether Harbaugh will part ways with his friends.

Coaching the Chargers can wear on you. He brought in his best S&C guy and we've been decimated by injuries. He looks shell shocked after losses. They're hard to take. It's a mental test of fortitude and strength being a fan of this team, playing for this team and coaching this team. It's not for everybody.
