    Keenan won’t be back,
I get it.... you didn't want him back last time.... you don't want him back this time.... get in line.

happen to feel otherwise as am pretty darn certain that Keenan has @least another year of high end production in him.... 80 balls plus

McConkey caught 82 balls without Keenan on the field.... 66 when he had to share the football w/him and others.... oh darn.

why is everyone so sentimental 'bout McConkey.... he'll get his.... all in good time.... just don't send out your stud to pasture too early.

and ditto for Gadsden and the others.... don't be so poppycock sure that they're all gonna stand and deliver year 2.... take the 80 balls that are Keenan and work from there.

if you and others here can't make it work w/Allen, am guessing McUltra might find a way.... ??

We have been focusing so much on the oline but look at the defense. Not 1 DT on the roster and missing a starting DE. No starting RILB and ROLB. The defense needs just as much as the offense. Like have been saying there is a lot of work to be done and you can't blow a majority of the cap in one area.
just fill in the blanks bro.... Joe's gonna do it.... and know you've done it before.... we're all just stirring the pot.... sooner or later the butter is gonna go off and the roster will be set.... all in good time.

just not sure why some peoples are so quick to pull the trigger when they see something that doesn't compute for them, but then they're scared or overly cautious of sharing their thoughts for fear of being wrong.

what is that ?? being wrong ?? we're here working together on this.... drop the goods and share what we know.... in concert/ensemble.... usually always works out for the better.

am sure you read that I've got Taylor & Cleveland on the ps.... for myself, am drafting two OCs, signing 3 FA OGs, Zion & Penning included, and originally wanted Trey Zuhn as our swing tackle, but have moved off that plan, as he didn't fare so well in SB drills.... so don't have a swing as of yet.

and am not married to any of the foregoing, just don't see the draft pick @guard that I have to have, as obviously prefer the two OCs, and Ingram in FA.... wip,

ps. some peoples are not so keen on spending 3 of our 5 picks on Olinemen, and so the query is.... how many and whom are you signing in FA, and.... do you have the monies for all that/the many names bandied about here ??
No not 8-10 signings but close to that in draft picks and signings. I'm probably signing 4 OG's and drafting 1 maybe 2. Signing a center and drafting 1 for starters. May add a few after the draft depending how the draft goes.

I think Hortiz will have 2 starting caliber OGs and 2 solid backups that could compete for starters before the draft as well as 1 starting center. I can't see them drafting 2 centers in the draft as that is to may resources in one position unless they don't sign one in free agency which I don't see happening, IMHO.

I think there is no way in hell the Chargers can pay 20 mil on a center and almost 20 mil on an OG. There is way too many holes that need to be filled. I've been slowly chiseling away at it in my sig. It's a work in progress. It's definitely not easy when taking into account the other positions that need to be filled as well.
        My final Mock:

        1) Woods, Peter- DT/Clemson
        2) Pregnon, Emmanuel- OG/Oregon
        3) Moore, Derrick- EDGE/Michigan
        4) Demmings, Charlie- CB/S. F. Austin
        6) Klein, Marlin- TE/Michigan

Yep 80 catches at less than 10 yards a pop. Last year....9.6 yards a catch, the lowest of Allen's career. That average will not be going up as Father Time kicks in

            zzzzzzzzzzzz

Lets aim higher of what this offense could be - more dynamic...more dangerous to defend

Fortner is your starting center, albeit am guessing you'd like to draft your future starter outta the draft ??

don't see a swing tackle listed, and you're prolly over a $100m in signings from what I can tell, and guessing it's not a full roster quite yet ??

decent, and still don't think we need any 5-6 guards, 3 OCs and the whatnot ??

personal suspicion is that you're pretty close to good, save for Rashid.... ??
              - Yes sir would definitely try and draft a center.

              - It's a work in progress so it's going to change a lot between now and March. So yeah, it's not even close to being done..lol. Like I may remove Shaheed altogether.

First, no one really plays a 34 D anymore. Teams play mostly 42, even if they call themselves a 43 D.

I would argue that Tart is a DT, Caldwell is a NT, and Oboigbe the DE.

Still plays some NB (PFF said 338 snaps this season), but lined up 389 times as an outside CB.

Derwin lined up 132 on the LOS, 309 in the box (LB), 369 in the slot, giving a total of 810 of his 971 snaps away from our SS spot in the cover 2 shell. He is truly our nickel, but people have some weird hangup that it doesn't make him a "starter", even though NFL teams have played mostly nickel for the last 45 years, which if I consider a starter by virtue of being on the field the most.

RJ is the "other" 2 deep S with 257 of his 440 snaps as a deep S) & Tony Jefferson (lined up at in the box 113 and slot CB 33), leaving 382 of his 568 snaps at deep S. St. Juste had 329 snap as an outside CB, Jackson had 594 snaps at outside CB.

But he was only available for 9 games last year. Basically half a season last year. Doesn't block anybody when he isn't playing. Need to be available otherwise it's 5mil not providing the ROI.

guess you were one of those guys last year as well.... sending Keenan to the refuse bin, and for what ?? all he does is produce....

it's pure conjecture that he will magically stop getting open and that he is more a hindrance than a help to this offense....

as mentioned several times, if you do the research, there are plenty of top shelf receivers that have themselves a year @the tender age of 34.... Gates included.

                      Seems pretty clear to me...

Dissly, Dupree, Becton, Bozeman are easy cuts to clear over 20 million to get some important things done

As far as offense goes, it will be interesting to see how KLS, Harris and OG develop.

Harris is the guy I think we really need to get on the field more. With defenses putting lighter and lighter personnel on the field, the premium for D is to win vs the run by being more athletic. But a guy like Harris who can lead block like a FB or TE, it would really open up our O, and give Mike McDaniel another weapon in the running game, as well as keep D off balance vs the pass by not tipping our hand.
