I refuse to believe this is on Joe anymore than Bozeman was on Joe, he works with his coaching staff and gives them what they want...these personnel decisions are at the very least in part what Mike wants, Joe let Roman pull the strings too, now McDaniel is being given leeway to bring in his guys and build his offense...I just can't believe that Mike went into Joe's office demanding Jenkins or any of the other guys and then Joe turned to him and said, "Get the fuck out of my office!" There is no way that is going on over there, so yeah, blame Joe all you guys want but IMO Mike has his fingerprints all over these decisions and EVERYONE unanimously wanted Mike McDaniel so let's give the guy a chance to build his offense..."The author assumes no responsibility or liability for any errors or omissions in the content of this post. My point wasn't to dissect the responsibilities in the Charger war room. I have no idea, nor was I attempting to make a blame Joe statement. ( not this time anyway 😂) I was just pointing out that the Chargers, for whatever reason, made the choice to not pursue Jenkins or SeumuloOriginally posted by Fouts2herbert View Post

So their checks get prorated over a 52 week period, I think this helps the players because it decreases their need to get loans in the offseason and decreases their chances of getting taken advantage of by loan sharks like back in the day...Originally posted by Boltjolt View Post
Maybe this has something to do with it
it also decreases their chances of them getting into tax trouble...players need to keep tabs on their money but then again that's no different than when they got 16 checks during the season...so if these guys get educated on how to manage their money and how to keep track of their pay, I don't see that as a bad thing at all, I think that's something that every single young person should be taught from a young age and at the least by high school, some schools do teach it but surprisingly most don't..."The author assumes no responsibility or liability for any errors or omissions in the content of this post. And we’re still paying him that much this year. They’ll keep trying at OT until they can’t anymore. Luckily, he’s an OT versus a WR or CB, so the chances are better at him regaining form. Also still young.Originally posted by charger1_sj View Post
We paid him that much before he got badly injured. Bozeman was terrible. So, it's not a stretch to assume Biadasz will be better.

and all I'm saying is that Mike has input in all this, there is no way he would've signed with the Chargers if he hadn't been given assurances that he would have a say on his players...I think this is the biggest reason that QJ has been shopped around lately even tho it makes no sense financially to replace him with a more expensive veteran when his production has steadily increased year to year...but if Mike has decided that he can't use him in his offense then the Hortiz is going to try and accommodate his coach, that's what I believe is happening over there, they work together like in a committee, Joe, Jim, and the coordinators, they all have a say...Originally posted by CanadianBoltFan View Post

Agree with all of the above. Even if I disagree with some of what Mike is doing.Originally posted by Fouts2herbert View Post

Probably, but they could also be talking about a guard...sounds like the Browns have to release Teller by Friday and he wouldn't count against the comp pick formula...Originally posted by Xenos View PostFeels like this has be a WR, given the smoke surrounding Pierce and Shaheed. So how much do they give up in a trade given their limited picks? I’m assuming QJ has to be a part of it, as well as eating salary.
