assurances had to be made otherwise McDaniel doesn't sign with the Chargers, we loved the coaching hire so now we deal with his choices on personnel..."The author assumes no responsibility or liability for any errors or omissions in the content of this post. Lance looked awful in the final regular season game in vs. Denver. AWFUL. Then again, so was the rest of the team on the field with him. I'm not sure that Trey Lance even had a snowball's chance in hell of playing decently, given the lineup around him.Originally posted by richpjr View Post
I hope not. He looked fine in the preseason when nobody game planned or ran any exotic defenses but looked like the same deer in the headlight, utterly confused QB as before when he played in a real game. I don't care how much raw talent he has, we simply don't have the time to waste developing him into somebody who will ever be ready to play a stretch of games and give us a chance to win.

This deal was made since Monday, but due to some strange void year in his contract he won't become a free agent officially until tomorrow...this explains why they passed on Jenkins and others, hopefully now some folks can step back from the edge...Originally posted by richpjr View Post"The author assumes no responsibility or liability for any errors or omissions in the content of this post. Hope he still has something left in the tank. To be fair outside of Edwards, all OGs in this free agent class certainly had their own warts. Maybe a change of scenery/scheme/coaching will help him recapture a bit of the dominance he had a few years ago.Originally posted by Fouts2herbert View Post

I didn't like Edwards, due to his scary concussion history I felt that a long term contract for him was completely out of the question but teams are doing some stupid ass shit this offseason, firing good coaches, giving loads of guaranteed money to players with serious injury concerns, and the biggest shitshow of all, giving a fucking center offensive tackle money, how fucking stupid is that, the Raiders are going to get fucked on that, Linderbaum might've been the best available center in this free agent class but he has some big flaws in his game and comes with some serious lower leg issues...I'm going to be laughing my ass off if Linderbaum ends up missing a ton of games in the next couple of years and the Raiders will have no recourse other than to keep him on the roster...Originally posted by Boltx View Post

For sure. I was hoping to move on completely from the disastrous OL from last season, I can't be mad at these two re-signings. It's funny, Pipkins has been maligned by fans since the day he was drafted but he somehow is still here. Next to Derwin, is not Pipkins the longest tenured Charger without a break?Originally posted by Fouts2herbert View Post
so was Strange, Biadasz, Penning, and yes Pipkins...

He can play RT solid and allows Alt to move over to LT again if needed. Plus, maybe more of a scheme fit than Salyer.Originally posted by Velo View PostFor sure. So if they are planning to sign Teller, does that mean Strange will battle it out at LG? Teller is primarily a RG while I believe Strange has played LG while in NE. I think Teller on a 2 year deal will be perfect. I think he will be highly motivated by being on a team that has a chance to win it all.Originally posted by richpjr View Post
Go grab Jonathan Allen. I think as a rotational piece, he will be effective.

Judging Lance on a game played with offensive back ups against one of the top defenses in the league that needed the game is ridiculousOriginally posted by Ghost of Quacksaw View Post
