Who is the closest to Jahmyr Gibbs?

That is the RB to draft - -speed and power

Gibbs is more speed, not so much power. He is 200 lbs, ran a 4.36 and had a 1.52 10 yard split. That is pure burst and speed.
Sampson has been mentioned, but he is only 190. I would only draft him after we have our two top RBs set like say Dobbins and perhaps one of Singleton, Henderson, Hampton, Johnson, etc......and then Sampson would be a scat/change of pace.

Henderson and Sampson are the speed backs

Probably Henderson has a bit more power to go with the speed. He looked good ona nice run last night in the Cotton Bowl.

I don't care how light Gibbs is or isn't, the dude is a beast, with or without a "power back" to complement him. On the season:1426 yds rushing, 5.6 ypc, 16 TDs. He played in week 18 against the Vikings without Montgomery and rushed for 139 yds (6.0 ypc) and 3 TDs, in addition to catch 5 of 5 passes for 31 yds and another TD.

When you look at the impact that Gibbs has had on the success of the Detroit Lions, how can there be any quibbling about taking a game breaking RB early.

Same thing with Bijan and Jeanty. At 25 I would have no problem if they grabbed Hampton as its more than just blocking to have a dominant run game. We were 18th this year much room to improve and dominate.

Just saying he isn't a power back as one noted. There are a handful of RBs I like for us day 1 and 2 and one is Henderson and he is fast.

I been wanting a early pick RB for three years.

I thought he'd be too light to run between the tackles in the NFL, I thought he'd be more like Ekeler, more of an asset as a receiver out of the backfield. But the Lions run Gibbs between the tackles routinely. It does help to have an OL of Detroit's caliber, possibly the league's best. Just give a back like Gibbs a little bit of an opening and he does the rest.

There are many tiers and types of running backs in this draft.

                    It is deep.

We can approach this in myriad ways.
                    We play modern Harball.

I don't break the bank trying to bring back JK.

Don't get me wrong - great guy, great story. But one hit away from disaster and probably unlikely he gives you a full season anymore.

Happy to bring him back on a team friendly deal but it doesn't change the fact I'm looking for a RD 3 running back - either OSU back would do quite nicely IMO.

Agree with this. Love to have him back, but it would be hard to count on him as the primary back without much better depth behind him.

Focres aka power = mass x acceleration I’m sure Mr Gibbs has plenty of power
