Chargers cut Becton, Bozeman and Dissly frees up 19.5m toward signing Linderbaum. And they still have 88mil in cap space. They use 2mil of cap space to give the target free agent Center 21.5 per year. 4y/86mil.

Plenty of money left to resign Zion and get a free agent RG like former 1st Rd pick Cole Strange who started 14 games for McDaniel last year.

I'm expecting Hortiz to go all in on addressing the IOL.

agree, there is most always turnover of twentysomething players to the roster, and.... not sure where you're getting your Oline numbers from, as we have Rashawn, Joe, and Branson Taylor on board, and a virtual plethora of others including Bobby Hart, Penning, Cleveland, Boze, Andre James, Zion, Salyer, Pips and Deculus to work with, and granted.... we might not sign the any of 'em, and.... we need nine, and pretty much guaranteed we're gonna draft @least two of 'em, albeit more likely three of 'em, and could sign as many as two in FA, which leaves maybe just two that we end up re signing outta the aforementioned, and as thinkin' that the both of Zion 'n Penning return to the 53, and that Taylor and Cleveland remain on the ps ??

I tried...lol. Currently the Chargers don't have a starting OG or center unless the coaching staff know something we don't like Kaltenberger will be the starting center next year.

I stole this but it's current. Orange- IR, Blue- Reserves/Future, Purple- PUP, Green- Re-sign/Free agents. This is without cutting Boz, Becton, Dissly, or Dupree.

We have been focusing so much on the oline but look at the defense. Not 1 DT on the roster and missing a starting DE. No starting RILB and ROLB. The defense needs just as much as the offense. Like have been saying there is a lot of work to be done and you can't blow a majority of the cap in one area.

On the roster:

OTs- Slater, Slater, Taylor, and Washington. Now if you're comfortable with Taylor and Washington as backups by all means don't sign or draft anyone.
OGs- Cleveland and Becton. If Becton is cut then it's just Cleveland.
OCs- Kaltenburger and Boz. If Boz gets cut then it's just Kaltenberger.

Chargers FA:

OT's- Pip and Deculus
OGs- Johnson, Penning, and Salyer
OC- James

- They are going to have to sign or draft 2 OT's as backups unless you think Taylor and/or Washington are 2nd string OTs.

- They are going to have to sign or draft at least 5-6 OGs. Cleveland is the only OG on the roster and there is debate if is even a fit. Even if you are signing players who were on the roster last year it's still going to count against the cap this year.

- With only Kaltenberger on the roster, the Chargers are going to have to draft and/or sign 1- 2 unless you think Kaltenberger is going to be the starter or 2nd stringer.

you have us signing 8-10 Olinemen on top of Rashawn/Joe.... that's 10-12.... and no problem, albeit we'll prolly have 9/53 from our Oline, no ??

am sure you read that I've got Taylor & Cleveland on the ps.... for myself, am drafting two OCs, signing 3 FA OGs, Zion & Penning included, and originally wanted Trey Zuhn as our swing tackle, but have moved off that plan, as he didn't fare so well in SB drills.... so don't have a swing as of yet.

and am not married to any of the foregoing, just don't see the draft pick @guard that I have to have, as obviously prefer the two OCs, and Ingram in FA.... wip,

ps. some peoples are not so keen on spending 3 of our 5 picks on Olinemen, and so the query is.... how many and whom are you signing in FA, and.... do you have the monies for all that/the many names bandied about here ??

you can't decide whether or not to kick Zion off the bus, most peoples here do a lazy job of roster build dollars wise, conveniently shaving dollars off their estimates to fit their many wished for players.

are you a round one OG guy, and day two OG person, or day three there ??

how many OGs are you picking up in FA ?? are you spending big @the OC ??

Fortner is your starting center, albeit am guessing you'd like to draft your future starter outta the draft ??

don't see a swing tackle listed, and you're prolly over a $100m in signings from what I can tell, and guessing it's not a full roster quite yet ??

decent, and still don't think we need any 5-6 guards, 3 OCs and the whatnot ??

personal suspicion is that you're pretty close to good, save for Rashid.... ??
