That's where you and I differ. And fwiw, I have spent more of my living outside of SD and rooting for the SD Chargers. But this franchise is dead to me. There will always be a SD Chargers, but they will be in my memories.

Me too. Some people despise Denver more these days. But the Raiders were always the most hated. If they come to SD, then they'll be my team and I'll prob continue to watch NFL football. Otherwise...I'm just speaking honestly here...I can't see myself being very engaged anymore. Football was the San Diego Chargers for me. And the Chargers were always about San Diego for me. So what's left? Rooting for some other city's team? Some other city?

Psst, Dean, I have a two year old daughter and a 5 mo old son. They have Chargers gear. The two year old says "Go Chargers!" during games, has a Gates jersey and yells "Gates!" when he catches a ball. It's something we shared as a family (my wife cried this morning and asked me what we would do now) and would have continued to build it into family tradition; meaning jerseys, hats, tickets, vacations, etc. Not now.

That's your future with us. We're just one family and even though lots of families will do the same as us, we're insignificant in the big picture for you right now. I get that. But you'll never get that kind of support in LA bc you just traded 55 years of loyalty and tradition in the belief that it will be there overnight in LA. It won't. And it likely won't ever. Look to that future. Art Modell was one of the most respected owners in the NFL before moving to Baltimore. Afterwards, he was just generally reviled in the broader sports and media community. Chris, I wouldn't put it that way. I and we all appreciate this community and what you guys have done to put and keep it together. But at the same time, it's based on the team and the team is done for many of us who will no longer follow it. If I'm not following it, I'm not sure what I would do here. You've asked us for some time and I'll of course be willing to give it (especially since I'll need it to vent completely), but I'm better off spending the time I've spent here; and on the Chargers more generally, with my kids and educating them on why we hate the Chargers now.
