Just heard the Chargers will not be changing their name or brand, just the LA logo.

Yeah, claiming it was just for the rollout today for "fightforla". Yeah, pushing fake news.

San Diego may still end up with a team.
If the Raiders were to come to San Diego it would kill the Chargers in LA. Not only do the Chargers lose support of the majority of San Diego fans they would have a hard time competing for fans in LA. Kroenke is likely happy the Duhs aren't in LA because while he would own the stadium the Raiders would own the city. If Al Davis was still alive he would really think long and hard about San Diego (especially with the deal the Chargers turned down) just to stick it to the NFL. I would be pretty hard for the league to deny moving their franchise to a town that just lost theirs. However, I don't know if Mark Davis has it in him, the Vegas deal (at least on paper) looks like a good thing and he would still be drawing support from LAliens.

If they play a home game against the Rams next year they may even have a chance to fill it up.

$350M plus a 99 year lease for $1/annum for the entire Qualcomm site isn't exactly chump change.

This personifies the LAme Chargers playing at Stub Hub.

No, vinabolt just underestimates the level of ire against dean spanos, and overestimates the power of the charger brand, (my opinion... not talking for him).

                      I thought you 'retired'? LOL.

They are going to change their colors to black and gold and rename them the Stealers in hopes LA fans won't realize who they really are.

Sad sad day for me fellow Bolts fans,

I have been following the board and the old one for a long time from afar over in Brooklyn and now in New Jersey. I have loved this team since a 6 year old got a Fouts jersey for Christmas out of the blue from my brother who loved Air Coryell. Royal and Gold with lightning bolts! The best uniform in sports. I have been a die hard ever since.. I remember buying gear (Rawlings Helmets - Sand Knit old jerseys, Starter Jackets) from the JC Penny/Macy's catalog when you could never get anything other your local teams over here. I use to call sports phone for scores all effen day just to get the scores during Sundays and when Sunday ticket came out it was a game changer.

The great memories.. First playoff game against KC I saw with Butts going off. The 94 season... Martin scoring that huge TD and it being my answering machine message for months. Seau, Natrone, Humphries... Will always love that team and all the players... That same brother buying me a Powder Blue Seau jersey for the Super Bowl and proudly wore it out after that beating. The time I saw LT score 4 Ttds against the Jets after walking through the parking lots where a huge tailgate was screaming there is only one real "LT" to walking out and almost getting in a brawl as I walked by to count "not 1, Not 2.. Not 3 but 4 effen Td's!!!" It was hilarious as they all were going nuts cursing me out.. Loved it.. Loved it...

Everyone knows me as a SAN DIEGO Chargers fan. This hurts.. I know I'm not from San Diego but getting a call from my dad today telling me he knows how it feels to see his Brooklyn Dodgers go West and now all these years later LA takes my team also. Its funny when growing up my dad loved Keith Lincoln #22 and he mentioned it again today that he wanted to call me Keith after him but my mom shot it down and how I turned out to always wear #22 and became a Chargers fan. He always liked that....

Oh well I'm venting I guess to deal.. I can't follow the team. Its not San Diego.. Thanks for everyone for keeping me up to date all all things on the team through the years and I feel terrible for all the die-hards out there in San Diego. I hope one day a team comes back and I'll be there if they do. All in all there are more important things in life but I lost a big part of who I am today and it sure hurts....
