Plenty of blame to go around.

Shitty organization. Apathetic city. Perfect shit storm. Plenty of loyal fans but I guess it wasn't enough.

You know ... if the @NFL has reservations about Las Vegas the #Raiders could move to San Diego. Just sayin'. #Chargers
Personally, I don't think Kroenke wanted the Raiders in LA and they would have been given the next look to do so.

Spanos just, at least, doubled the value of his family's biggest asset. That is all that mattered to him and he will go quietly into retirement now and leave the football business to his sons.

If the Raiders want to look at SD with a favorable deal for the city then I think that is good for the region as the NFL goes. I doubt I would ever be more than a casual fan of them in SD but I am no more than a casual fan of the league as a whole. I do think the NFL has reached its peak to be perfectly honest. Never thought they would put real money into getting something done here (was a bit surprised that they upped their ante but they did so knowing that the terms were still unacceptable to the public) but there was no way the NFL would set a precedent of building stadiums to keep teams in their place. Just my opinion, of course.

Worst part is that the hangover from the move + new coaching growing pain all but guarantees that the last few years of Rivers' career will be shit.

        Waste, waste, waste.

I hope they rebrand. It will make it much easier to find a new team to root for.

Either way, though, I can't root for this team if it moves to LA. Time to find a new exciting winning team if this happens

Rivers is screwed unless he gets traded. This team is going nowhere with this ownership.....except maybe out of town

Unless the NFL change the rules, they can't rebrand for 2 more years since they changed their uniforms in 2012 and they can only be changed every 5 years.

Their lease in Murphy Canyon does not terminate the moment they exercise their option to leave, it will expire on July 1 so all of their offseason workouts will still take place here.

They changed their uniforms in 2007, the minor tweaks do not count.

The public should show up en masse and publicly protest the fortress every fucking day until they're out of here.

Yeah, and for free. They pay nothing for the use of that facility.

Bleacher Report says the Chargers will play in the Coliseum...

The San Diego Chargers are no more. Chairman Dean Spanos announced Thursday the team will move to Los Angeles, ending a stay that began in 1961 as a member of the American Football ...

The Chargers will share the Los Angeles Coliseum with the Rams for the next two seasons before moving into a $2.6 billion stadium in Inglewood, which is expected to open in 2019. That stadium proposal beat out one offered by the Chargers and Raiders, which would have allowed both teams to move to Los Angeles before the 2016 season.
