What is the Raiders status for Vegas? Is it a done deal? And if the league wants a team in SD, would the powers to be prefer Davis bringing his team here?

The best place for the Chargers to be is San Diego but Spanos is afraid if the Raiders comeback to SoCal, it eats into his market share?
o They didn't get it in 2015, so they went all-in in LA. (Terms were set by Chargers in letter to CSAG)
o They knew they weren't going to get those terms from city in 2016. So they put forward Measure C. (Fabiani said they'd do this in October 2015.)
o C didn't pass, so the next option is to extort the NFL. (AJ Smith called it in the radio interview earlier this year. And SDFan called this over a year ago.)
o If the extortion attempt doesn't work, they'll go to LA. (We're now at the end game, thank goodness)
So, the Chargers are fighting against both the city and the NFL, and therefore the only way they keep leverage against both is to take the LA option right now. City is done. It's the NFL's move now.
Or, this is all NFL-created fake drama, and the NFL has known it's going to cave at the last second for at least a year. Whatever.Last edited by KNSD; 01-12-2017, 06:03 AM.Prediction:
Correct: Chargers CI fails miserably.
Fail: Team stays in San Diego until their lease runs out in 2020. (without getting new deal done by then) .
Sig Bet WIN: The Chargers will file for relocation on January 15.

I guess I knew this day was coming. I feel devastated for all the Chargers season ticket holders over the years. But I knew Dean Spanos couldn't make a correct decision to save his life, and this is just another in a long series of missteps by that bumbling idiot. He can't even get the Powder Blue throwback jerseys right.
The league office vowed that they would 'get this right'. This sure all hell doesn't feel like right, and it sure as hell doesn't feel like Dean is working with the league office on this.

IMO, this is Dean right now.

Outside of the Die Hard fans, most San Diegans appear content with living in a smaller, less eventful place than the major city San Diego could be( and coming from someone who has lived in L.A., Hong Kong, and London, SD is no major city)
Shame.Life is too short to drink cheap beer
