    Nutty's Stab-In-The-Dark 53:

QB: Herbie, Stick (unless a clear-cut better QB becomes available)
    RB: Gus, JK, Patterson, Vidal
    FB: Fisk
WR: QJ, Chark, Palmer, McConkey, DD, Fehoko
    TE: Dissly, Hurst, Parham, Smart
OL: Slater, Zion, Bozeman, Pipkins, Alt, Jaimes, McFadden, Salyer

OLB: Mack, Bosa, Tuli, Dupree, Rumph
IDL: Fox, Poona, Tito, Tart, Matlock
LB: Colson, Henly, Perryman, Niemann, Dye
DB: ASJ, Fulton, JaSir, Deanne, Still, DJ, Alohi, Jefferson, Finley, JT Woods

The IR rule may allow Rumph to be stashed. In that scenario, Morris-Brash makes the final 53. Rumph is very good on ST.
Gotta go with 4 RB's... especially if we're worried about JK's health.
Gotta go with 4 TE's... Fisk gets a FB/HB/TE designation. All of them have to be good blockers. Smart... because he's a receiving TE.
I cut Foster Sarrell... because they have players that can play G/T... Salyer, Pipkins.
I kept Matlock over Clark because Matlock can play DE... Clark is a NT only. They have 3 NT's already with Poona, Tito, and Tart.
I was hoping to see something out of Eboigbe. He should slip through to the PS.
The DB's are close... Hart, Hankins, and Harper would be tough cuts. Hopefully, they make it to the PS.
I think JT makes it because he showed versatility at CB. Hart, Hankins, or Harper might beat him out.
    Protect the QB
    Run the ball
    Play great defense

You're light on OL, I think you got to have 9. Not sure they will have a FB.

you called the drafting of Alt but you've kind of gotten a big head because of that, you've been wrong about Salyer and Pipkins, and now you're wrong about Sarrell too...good news is you only have to wait 48hrs this time to find out whether your prediction is good or not, right now you have them cutting their 4rth and 5th rounders and entering the season with no swing tackle and a banged up guard that lost his starting spot as our primary back up at both tackle spots and guard...

Agree 9 OL. I'd add Fisk as a TE, cut Parham. Injury prone, weak blocker.

Joshua Kelley got cut by the Giants today, just thought folks might want to know, I wonder if his career is over already?

also because of our TE situation and not because I'm particularly interested, the eagles cut CJ Uzomah today...

Given the cap issues this year, excellent job so far. Need a repeat next year in the off season to clearly establish ourselves. That said, would like to see an upgrade at backup QB and center via this week's cuts.

Maybe. They have interior linemen (Patrick, Barnhart) they can put on the practice squad.
If one of the starting OT's goes down with injury, I think I'd rather have Salyer or Pipkins play OT than Sarell.
You guys seem to forget how bad Sarell was against starters during a regular season game.

They've tried McFadden at FB... they've tried Matlock at FB... then they went with a late TC sign with Fisk a day after Ben Mason was released (injured). Tucker Fisk looks like Patrick Ricard 2.0 The fact he can play TE is to his advantage. Roman has implemented multiple TE's and a FB most of his career. That 12-personnel takes a huge hit if the starters go down. Parham and Smart are decent depth... but not guys you can run 12-personnel with on a regular basis.

the O-line was in chaos last year, who looked good? even Slater had some bad stretches, it was just a fucking mess...that and you're discounting how well Sarrell has transitioned from LT to RG to RT in the preseason, you can tell he's put in a ton of work there, plus physically he looks like he's finally reached his peak and his conditioning shows he's working his ass off, on top of that he's continued to train with Slater, Pipkins, McFadden, and now also Zion Johnson in the offseason...I've been impressed with how he has moved around from position to position during these preseason games and he's looked solid, I can only think of one false start in the 3 preseason games...

Not sure if this is a football take or sour grapes.
Pipkins is up/down @RG. He's the starter right now... I hope he continues to learn @RG.
                    Salyer graded @69.2 with 989 snaps @LT (2022)
                    Sarell graded @48.0 with 48 snaps @RT (2023)
I'm really surprised that people have forgotten how badly Sarell played last year.

When they moved him inside to RG late in TC... that's not a good sign.
If he makes the final 53... it will because Salyer's injury is serious enough to go on the PUP list.

I think it would be stupid to have Smart over Parham. Smart is a mediocre blocker and offers to the receiving portion of TE what Stick brings to the passing aspect of QB.

I'd bet 2 dozen tacos that Sarrell is on the 53. I'm not super high on him, but he's our #9 and I don't think they go to their OL-centric future with 8.

Fisk could displace Parham. We have lived on the high hope of Parham for many years, maybe its time to just accept its not gonna be.

I think they keep Jefferson and Woods and move Hart to PS. Hart does not look ready yet and thats a position you can't hide this fact. Let him grow a year on PS and see next camp.
